Leading them inside the pounding sound of the rain was soon a dull hammer patter on the ceiling overhead. “..We’re setup to handle most injuries and care for colonial concerns you can imagine for a colony of this size. Or least we were until people in the mines went missing and rescue teams also vanished taking a chunk of my staff with them!” Erica said huffing a hair out of her face.

“You seem awfully calm about that fact if you don’t mind my saying so.” Paul said with a frown. He didn’t like people missing at all.

Coming around a corner they found the open plan hospital lined with rows of beds and partitioned dividers. “..Originally I had a staff of 30 trained doctors and nurses, now I’m down to 10 including myself! The storm outside has caused havoc with the colonists, ranging from lighting strikes, to trips and falls. Nothing too serious thankfully and no fatalities either. Just a lot of broken bones, burns, and such leaving me short handed. Our most serious case is Charles Wentworth who got kicked in the head by his prized cow during a lighting strike nearby scaring the cow.” She explained.

Elijah contained any amount of laughing well, he felt a hospital wasn’t really a place to laugh at other peoples expense even if it was being kicked by their prized cow. “So you’ve lost a total of 20 people due to the mines?” He asked concerned, this didn’t bode well and he wanted to check in with the away team as soon as possible. Especially with the storm and now knowing the staggering statistics he wondered if he should have sent more security.

Paul looked around. “Right. I’m going to need access to the patient files if you have them and a space to work where I can set up my equipment. No offence but I’m partial to my own. “

Elijah nodded, “I’ll stay out of your way Doc, in the meantime im going to try and make contact with the other landing part.” Despite the weather he returned to the outside but remained under the cover which stopped him from being beaten by the storm. =c= Landing Party one its the Captain, we’ve just arrived in the settlement and It seems the missing person estimate is far greater than anticipated. =c= Captain, Alden here. We’re not far into the mines just yet, with minimal information on the perpetrator of these crimes. We’re headed deeper to find out more.=c= Roman’s reply came through, somewhat static-y as the Captain’s initial communication had been.

Elijah was relived to hear his second in command voice and though filled with static he seemed calm =C= very well Commander, keep your head on a swivel we’ve heard some disturbing reports so I’m sending some more Security to you, they should arrive in the next thirty minutes. =C= The weather outside hadn’t improved much but enough to beam a handful of people back and forth.
