With the panel open and waiting to be scanned more in an engineering manner the lights flickered again from another power drain.

“And there she goes again,” Anders said aloud, scratching at his chin.

Karl took out his engineering tricorder from his work case and started scanning the panel, he hadn’t heard anything regarding any power leaks so whatever this was it was fairly recent.

As the diagnostic reader got hooked up the device began to ping and whoop and whirr as it read through the system statuses.

Karl mumbled something, not in standard, probably swearing. “I wish they made these things have a mute setting, you can’t even hear the engine rumbling with this damned noise” He said to himself mostly, it was spoken as out of rote without any real meaning.
