“Much obliged, if you need a hand I can get another engineer down here?” Marcus was already walking down the hall but made sure to keep an eye out for the nearest com panel. He rounded a corner to find the Warp Core Maintenance Room, along with a panel concealing the EPS tap about half way up a wall on his left. He got close to inspect the damage, bracing himself for any sparks that might discharge from the panel if he made a wrong move.

-Ensign Marcus Anders: Security Officer-

Almost anti-climatically there didnt appear to be any damage to the EPS tap in the room. There clearly was some kind of drain though happening as the lighting in the room was far dimmer than it should be. Visually though everything seemed ok to his limited security minded training. Perhaps checking diagnostics would reveal more?

“What’re you hiding?” Marc thought aloud, and pulled out his tricorder to initiate a diagnostic scan.

Scan diagnostics of the EPS tap revealed something most curious the power draw was almost rhythmic in quality. If he questioned to himself what it was most like he might have to say it was like a heart beat!

“I was unaware that Security did warp core maintenance” An accented voice said from behind the young Security officer. Behind him stood a tall man in his late thirties and the uniform of an Engineer, he was marked as a Non-Com, Senior Chief Petty Officer. In his hand, he held a box of repair tools. “Need some help, sir” He asked the young officer.

Marcus swung around, “Blimey, you frightened the life out of me, I could use an engineer’s touch on this lad.” The young Englishman extended a hand with a small grin, “No need for the sir, Ensign Marcus Anders, Marc to me friends.”

Karl cocked his head, an amused smile on his face “Well what’s going on then?” he asked the younger man.
