Yeoman - Always Up Early

(snip)
Verbos Lizard: Mushu“1230?” Roman was clearly shocked by the news. He was not generally the type to lose track of time, in fact he was known for being a time stickler, always on people for being late. As Rand left, he turned to get back to work. At least he’s planned the whole day for science stuff.
~ Lt Cmdr Alden, XO/CSO
Home habitat: From Aldaria III jungle system. Small dens or caves underground or rotted trees. Likes to swim and can travel long distances during active times
Physical: lizard, small body curled tail four stumpy legs. Eyes on stalks which stood two inches tall, sucks eye stalks (thin muscular) in when startled with eyes on either side of the head greenish yellow skin, male - child.
Research: Studying diet,
Classification: omnivorous
Terrarium: Log, in swampy environment. Clean once a week and give fresh water,
Personality: likes to be scratched on head. Docile. Three toed foot always puts left foot on glass when waiting for or ‘asking’ for food
Chemistry: No dangerous skin oils
Intelligence: similar to a dog can be trained
Food: Likes flies from bag Alpha 3 eats five to eight at a time no more than 5 in the cage at a time before he gets bored likes leaves of x plant but not Y plant. Won’t even touch it possibly toxic to him
Observations: Caught two flies in quick succession and then impatient for more approached glass and put one paw on glass and watched both the feeder and the bag put three in and ate quickly. With four he ate two and ignored the rest. Ate those several minutes later.
Can reach both ends of the tank from the middle of the log in order to catch food
Suggestions: add a fish tank water filter at slow speed to keep the swamp water moving to prevent stagnation. Add water and pump to the front left of the tank. Add doors and small tubes to connect to the oval shaped tank to create a permanent larger swamp for swimming.
Handlers: Lt Cmdr Alden, En Rand Farquharson

Behavior was erratic and the snake was agitated. Possibly from the new person or some other unknown factor.
Suggestions: Add a feeding drawer to cage to allow for more controlled feeding of the snake and protect lab assistants.
Handlers: Lt Cmdr Alden, Bite proof clothing and a snake hook and only by those specially trained.
