USS Sentinel
Main Sim - Sigma 9 - Administrator's Office

”..Constable Barrack took half our security force down the mines with several volunteers for a rescue, we figured they hit a pocket of gas that was causing hallucinations after the tremor. They were armed but also equipped for emergency rock cave in rescues. They never reported in after entering the cavern and we don’t got the man power or experiences to keep sending people down there blindly.” Garmin explained.
”..We’ve also been having intermittent equipment problems up here too lately usually before or after another tremor rolls through the area, such hasnt been a problem till the first disappearances..” Bor said.

George was quiet throughout the explanation. There was clearly something strange going on, perhaps native aliens deep in the crust of the planet? Or something more sinister than that. He had no way of knowing, but he looked forward to finding out.
Anderson, Sci.Sec
Ford furrowed his brow again. “That’s a lot of missing people, and I don’t like that message.” He turned to Roman. “Think we could get some rifles beamed down from the Sentinel?” The copper-tube type 3 rifles were a rare use, but Ford was now getting worried.
“Some additional scans from the ship would be good too.”
He turned back to the administrator. “Anything else we should know before we head into the mines ourselves?” he asked.
COS Ford
Roman nodded. “Heavier firepower sounds like a decent idea to me,” he said, “And scans for life down there, besides any remaining miners might be a good idea as well.” He waited for Ford’s input before contacting the ship.
”..The mines were quiet and stable till recently. Since the troubles we closed them off and have a posted constable squad nearby lead by Deputy Obrine. His squad are the only ones left who want to be near the mine for our safety..” Bor said.

Roman listened intently and quietly. “Brave men,” he said, about Obrine’s squad. He was considering what it might be down there, and true to his specialty, he found himself hoping it was some sort of life. But with their still limited knowledge he had no idea what it could be. A gas as they had originally thought could still have been possible.

”..Brave yeah, but also foolish if you ask me.” The female deputy commented, “..I’m no scaredy cat, but after all the strangeness coming up from those mines I’m just happy to turn it over to you Fleety folks to handle from here.” she said.
Cleolet raised an eyebrow at the cat comment. Of course she had heard it before but it always annoyed her. Even if it was referring to domestic cats “That’s an interesting expression. it implies that all cats are cowards” she said calmly but her quickly flicking tail gave her away “Anyway do you have readouts form any equipment that been affected. If I can look at it I might be able to figure out what’s going on” she added her tone respectful. She wasn’t sure if she was over stepping or not but she was here to help and that’s what she wanted to do.
”..Most of the machines effected would shut down briefly or malfunction in some way. Then after the shaking passed they would go back to normal operations after a hard reboot of their systems or power sources.” Bor explained. “..But feel free to scan away, pretty much anything around the colony has had a problem in one form or another over the past weeks.” He said with a nod.
Rand set her tricorder down carefully so it would continue to record the meeting and quietly stepped to the back of the room pulling out her communicator. =C= Rand to Sentinel. Lt Fordham would like 7 (ooc: that’s how many on landing party by my last count but if that is wrong please correct the number) of the copper tubed type 3 phaser rifles beamed down to us. Lt Cmdr Alden would like scans of the surface looking for life signs in the mines that are nearby the colony (ooc: it didn’t say exactly where just near by so I’m specifically referring to the new mines that Bor said they had just opened and where the problems are), as well as any chemical analysis that can be done and geological scans as well to give the team and idea of how stable the mines are before we enter them.=C=
After getting a response, Rand returned to her seat and slipped the strap of the tricorder back over her shoulder while it continued to record.
