USS Sentinel
Time to Impress
Rand stood in her new quarters, it was early, very early. Her shift didn’t quite correspond to the rest of the crew. Her new yellow uniform dress, cleanly pressed, knee high black boots, polished, and her hair in a tightly woven braid and curled into a bun, she glanced in the mirror. She had to make a good first impression. She had to make sure the captain was ready for his day, but today wasn’t a normal day. Today she was going to meet her new captain; her first posting as the Captain’s Yeoman. She had heard the CO liked coffee Flat Cap Blend first thing in the morning, but not how. It was a point of irritation for her she couldn’t find out. So she made a tray with fresh dark rich coffee and then several things he could choose to add. Then she took the tray along with the three PaDDs, straps over her shoulder, and left her quarters. Luckily, her quarters were across the hall, where she would be accessible whenever the captain had orders for her. She stepped across the hall, straightened her posture and rang the chime.
