Petty Officer Banner arrived in sickbay about an hour after fitting into his bunk. Being enlisted, he was not in a room all by himself, but that was okay. Enlisted personnel has a place on the ship and in the fleet, they were just not officers.

Walking into sickbay he asked,

“Is anyone here?”

“Where else would you expect medical staff to be?” A grumpy voice responded. The voice belonged to a thin man, dark grey hair combed and styled back and mustach twitching in annoyance. He sat at a desk writing on a PaDD and pushed his wire rimmbed golden glasses up as he looked up at Banner.

“What do you need?” He asked.

Looking at the doctor he decided not to get smart back…”Sir, I am Petty Officer Robert Banner, reporting for my medical check-up on this ship.”

Banner knew he had to watch whatever he said to this person because he was going to take him literally.
