Sidney had made it back to his little piece of space. He had successfully saved his former subordinates neck from prison after serving as his attorney in a murder trail. He had proven that the Captain of his former ship had set up the commander for the murder of the Captains wife. A murder the Captain himself had committed. Now as he sat in the bar and had a Jim Beam on the rocks with some water he was waiting for his own ship, the Olinski, to return from its mission so he could see how XO Harn had fared in the center seat.

Spending the last months in a court room setting in San Francisco had been tiring. Not that he had not enjoyed the time on earth. Because he had. However the stakes had been high in the case and it had not been exactly a vacation. He was happy to be in space again. He always enjoyed his time on old SB 257 or as it was commonly called, Meridian Station. It was the standard huge SF SB but each one had its own flavor. Fleet 5 had a lot of combat operations and as such the SB reflected that. The captain of the flagship on base was also a minor big deal and he was due to make his pilgrimage to the current commander of the SB, which was Commodore Shotten and his assistant Captain Fahl.

However for now he was happy to walk the levels, talk to a the very few officers he knew. It was sad to say he did not recognize a lot of the officers but that was the life of SF. New blood was always replacing the old.

He had made his usual rounds to the various locations one made while on the SB and now decided to ask permission to go the CoC. A central command post on a SB was massive. It was a nerve hub of a city sized base. Once he had received permission he entered and looked for the chief officer on duty.
