Hello everyone!

Dave and I have been talking about what we could do with Starbase 257. Our idea is to make it a place both for OOC discussions, but also as a place to RP. Not as a new ship/starbase, but as a place where all the ships from the fleet can dock and the crews can interact with one another; similar to Black Rock in the Black Fleet. And of course there would be no posting limits or the like and you wouldn’t create a new character. Simply sign off as your character at the end of a post.

Another thing we’d like to do is to change name from Starbase 257 to Meridian Station; either officially or as a nickname (we are thinking officially).

Anyway, we would like to hear from you what you think about those ideas, and we encourage as much feedback as you want to give. We would really love to make Starbase 257 (Meridian Station) a resource for you all to chat about ideas, get feedback from others in the fleet and to interact with characters on other ships.

Thanks Silke! We do have other ideas on reworking the Starbases MOTD to reflect it as a station, rather than a copy of the Fleet MOTD page (much like Black Rock). That is however an “idea in progress” as I would love to see an expanded region history and detail that will aid writers in the fleet to RP, as well as GM’s for knowing who the region’s primary antagonists are and notable features going by the area we inhabit. Nothing like a hard and fast rule for GM’s of course, but flavour and info for the members of the Fleet.
