Sathut closed his eyes and took a deep breath as the sound of communication between the transporter chief and someone else could be heard. He didn’t like traveling between vessels. It was always so much work to set up in a new office, especially with his particular requirements regarding size of things. He had an idea for his new office though, which excited him.

Step up onto the Transporter Pad.

Step down on the Saracen. Sathut took a deep breath of the new ship air. It was always such an interesting thing, getting used to the way a new ship filtered the air. Most people didn’t even notice the difference, but with such a keen sense of smell, he couldn’t help but identify the slightly unusual smells in the air. He glanced around, greeted the Transporter Technician, then left the T-room.

Home sweet new home. Hooray.

• Lt. Sathut, CNS

The doors of the transporter room opened and the solidly build CIO entered. “Lt. Sathut, welcome aboard the Saracen. I’m Cmdr. Colter, the ship’s Intel chief.”

He looked to the transporter pad and saw nothing there. He quickly checked the Padd in his hand. “Your personal effects have already arrived and are in your quarters. If there’s anything you have that needs to be moved to the counseling suite, I’ll get someone on it.”

Sathut looked up at Colter with a small smile, briefly flashing his sharp teeth. “Thank you, Commander. I intentionally sent my belongings ahead of myself. For someone as small as me, it is nice not to have to carry things around. May I ask why the head of Intelligence has come to personally greet the Counsellor? Surely you have better things to do.”
