Moore straightened his posture, not really reassured but gathering his composure. “I’m fine, sir,” he said, addressing the beverage offer and Bruce. “You have a peculiar office, sir. I like the decor.”

He wasn’t lying - it was eclectic, but one did not see that very often in Starfleet. Drab was cool, it seemed. Not that Sean could talk - he hardly ever kept much in his own quarters.

OOC: Bump, sir. I know you had some RL stuff going on, just keeping this live on the main board.

OOC: No Problems Chris, I’m sorry for the wait but I really appreciate your patience.

IC: “Eclectic?” Dante asked, but smiled. “My wife would call it Comfortable and inviting rather than the cold sterility of Command, for my own well-being considering she is the CMO I agreed.” Dante’s smile turned into a soft smirk that disappeared quickly as he sat down and looked over at Bruce. In reply the lizard flicked his tongue out and looked between the two humans, before dropping his head to the bed once more in such a way that one eye was squarely on Moore.

Dante placed the coffee to one side and moved the PaDD back towards him. He didn’t look at it again but the Personnel image on it was clearly that of the new CoO. “Chief of Operations, transferred from the Coalerman, promoted to Lieutenant Junior Grade. It’s a big step up to a Pendragon Class, Lieutenant, congratulations on your promotion and assignment.”

The younger officer nodded as the captain spoke. “Well, yes sir, thank you for the opportunity,” he replied eventually. “I’m glad to be aboard. I will say I have been intrigued and impressed by the ship since I heard of the assignment.” He wasn’t sure how thick he was brown-nosing, although he meant what he said.

“It’s a good ship, and a better crew,” Dante agreed. “How much have you looked into your fellow Senior Officers? You’ll need to meet the XO which I will arrange now, actually,” he told him. “Commander Scholz has just boarded as well.”

OOC: Assuming Scholz’ XO meeting would happen after this? That’s when Sean would meet most of them.

OOC: Yep, that meeting is after this one

Moore nodded and then listened. “I uh–” The captain had already pinged the new XO before Moore could reply. “I have not met many of them, actually. I still hope to get down to science and engineering, first off.”

Terminating the comm, Yuri moved from his quarters to the CO Ready room. He was honestly a bit annoyed by this sudden call, but as he had no choice other than following orders and be ready to react Yuri donned the jacket and muttered something on the way.

After 3 minutes or so, the XO was finally there, in front of the room. Ringing the doorbell Yuri scratched his eyes, cleared his uniform and waited patiently that someone over the room could say “Come in!” I should probably get some coffee. a random thought flew in his mind.

With the chime, Dante pressed the control on his desk and the door opened automatically. “Scholz, come in and meet Lieutenant Moore, our new Chief of Operations,” Dante offered, waving the man in. His eyes narrowed slightly as he registered that the XO was not carrying coffee.

“Commander Scholz will oversee your operations on a daily basis,” Dante parroted what was already normal practise on Starfleet vessels. “He has only just joined us as well.”

Moore went to the new XO and offered a hand. “Welcome, Commander. A pleasure.” He then realized he maybe should have saluted, but didn’t dwell on it.
