Stepping out of the docking tube from the Saracen, Dante looked around the large station that housed the command functions and personnel of the Meridian Fleet. He wasn’t in uniform, instead was wearing civilian clothing with his high necked jacket and a light scarf tucked into the neckline. Heading into the star base he had one particular purpose here today and he had set aside some time specifically for this around authorizing the various repairs and upgrades, and almost all of the crew was disembarked for those repairs.

Walking straight to one of the stations wall consoles, he entered his authorization and asked the computer what he needed. =/\=Computer, locate Lieutenant Junior Grade Teller Graham =/\=

OOC: Presuming he is going there…

Teller would be found on a semi grassy knoll seated with his back against a tree. For a person with a tactical eye would note that despite the ‘comfort’ of the position, Teller had sight lines of the path in both directions and likely could hear any approach from any other direction. Teller held a PaDD in one hand as he scanned the screen he stole a look up at the tall man out of uniform walking down the path.

“Good morning Lieutenant” Dante said as he came along the path, looking up at where Graham was seated. “I hope I’m not disturbing you at all? I wonder if I could have a few moments of your time?” He approached the knoll but paused at the edge of the path at the bottom. He might be in command of a star ship and this mans Captain, but right here and now, Dante was off duty and aware that he had sent most of his crew, most of his senior staff reluctantly, on leave after the last mission. He only wanted to intrude for good reasons.

Teller stood up abruptly when he was addressed, on duty or off a Captain was a Captain and a Lieutenant JG certainly wasn’t. He subconsciously wiped the dirt and grass of his pants as he stood. “My time is your time Sir.” Graham gave a half hearted smile as he turned off his PaDD. If Knight was nosy and quick he would see some of the upgrade schematics for the ship on the screen before it dimmed to off.

Graham.

“Thank you Teller” he said as he made his way up the short distance to the man, then glanced at the PaDD and smirked. He didn’t need to see what was on it to guess at the Officers reading material, it seemed a common theme among department heads to keep working when they were told to take a break by their Captain, heavens knew Dante himself had never listened to his CO’s when that ‘suggestion’ was given and he was inwardly pleased that his DH’s now had the same work ethic. That was much of why he was checking in with them.

“Do you see any issues with the Starbases schedule of repair and supply?” he asked casually. “I was rather interested in the tweaks to the deflector they are doing to give us better resolution of long range scans using the tachyon emitter to focus signals with less distortion of data.” Without glancing at him, Dante simply sat down near to where Graham had been sitting himself, and straightened out his trouser legs.

Teller shook his head. “No, the schedule is fine. The problem isn’t the builds, its our testing time, they don’t really give us any. Certainly not enough for me to be comfortable with all the changes. The more they tinker with the plumbing the easier it is to stop up the drain, Captain.”

“Frankly I want to put in my own reverse build to go back to the old system if this emitter focusing needs the technological equivanent of glasses.”
