Gordon had learned early on in his career that it was required to meet the new senior staff when ever there was a change over. While the new XO had come onboard during the middle of the mission, Gordon hadn’t yet had a chance to meet with her and to discuss crew related matters. Now that there was a break in their assignment, he felt it was as good a time as any. Scheduling an appointment, he made his way to the XO’s office. In his hand was a briefing for her regarding the status of the crew, upcoming crew related events and other personal matters for the XO to review.
He exited the turbolift and marched sharply towards her office. His uniform sharp and pressed, as only a 45 year veteran of Star fleet service knows how to do.

“Good Morning Master Chief.” A passing crewman said in greeting as he walked.

“Good Morning.” Gordon returned the greeting, in his deep soothing voice.

He stopped in front of the the XO’s door and pressed the chime.

The door was unlocked and it slid open. There hadn’t been much of a change with the office itself. The furniture and belongings of the previous XO were largely untouched, though Vienne was currently rifling through the desk drawers and dumping the contents into an empty crate. She hadn’t known her predecessor and had little inclination towards sentimentality to begin with. If it wasn’t of use, it would become Starfleet’s to deal with.

“Hmm?” Vienne intoned towards the door. Her eyes moved smoothly up from her task to sharply take in the man. She knew who to expect, but the crew files never did anyone well.

Aullar, XO

The man standing at the door was an average height man in his early 60’s. He had graying black hair and green eyes. He wore a yellow security uniform and his rank insigna was different than other officers. It was black, with three blue sideways chevrons and three gold. His face showed many scars, some deep.

“Hello Commander, I am Master Chief Michael Gordon.” He greeted the commander in his deep booming voice.

“Vienne Aullar,” she voiced in return. The man knew that, else he wouldn’t be here, and she only just didn’t roll her eyes at the absurdity of the social expectation. It gave the wrong impression, she’d been told.

Vi stood, naturally fluid, slamming the drawer shut with a toe. She was tall and her body was modestly shaped for an Orion. Small, dark freckles spattered across her nose and a thin scar split her lower lip. She didn’t smile, but gestured a hand to bring forward either of the chairs on the side.

Aullar, XO

“Thank you Commander.” He replied, taking a seat. “Are you getting settled?” He asked, setting a padd on his lap. He took a look around the office.

From the size of the crate, it was likely that the large majority of the room’s contents would be removed. “I will be done with the office before tomorrow,” Vienne said. She tilted her head slightly, the gesture as much as a shrug as she was inclined to give. “It being an interior piece of a starship is more ‘settled’than I have been in recent.”

“You have something for me?”

Aullar, XO
