Nine days passed quickly for Gavain, although at the same time they took forever to pass. When the blue and green marble that was his homeworld finally came into view, he was the first to stand up and look at the viewscreen with a look of joy on his face. To the humans, it might seem familiar at first, like it was somehow similar to their own, but closer inspection would show that all the continents were in the wrong places, and the terrain was much greener than Earth. It seemed that Galdor had a lower concentration of deserts and other such places.

Gavain watched quietly as they approached SkyBase, the orbital platform that served as a waypoint between Galdor and space. “We’ll dock at SkyBase, and from there the adventure begins,” he said softly, looking intently at the other Starfleet ships that were also pulling into the various docking bays.

“Who else do we have here for these celebrations?” He asked the Lieutenant, “Helm bring us to quarter impulse and prepare for docking.”

He watched the planet for a moment before turning to Gavain again. “Lieutenant, your world is very green. I can see what looks to be large areas of foliage? How much industry does Galdor have?”

“Nine other vessels, Captain Knight. I was not informed about the identity of the other vessels present, but I believe the Ark Angel, Olympic, and Manhattan are among the attending vessels. I’m looking at the Federation transponders right now,” he said, flipping through a few menus on his console. “Ah. It seems we also have the Chernov-D, Destiny, Titan, Justice, Grant, and Promise,” he added.

“To answer your second question, Galdor has very little industry. As I may have mentioned, although our world is comparable in farmable land area to Earth, our population has never risen above two or three billion. Although there is industry, it is not to the level of that on other Space-faring planets. My people like to keep our planet clean. What Industry we have produces clean energy,” he explained.
