Though Ella didn’t mind Quin, in fact, she didn’t mind him at all she just still found it easier to be conversational around Cori. Ella couldn’t help but revert to her Elasian heritage especially when alone with a man, she would one day hopefully come away from it and she was nowhere near as bad as she used to be but right now she was still the same old El’s and in that painful instance, Ella blurted out, “I didn’t want to talk.” She groaned inwardly, gods she had to stop doing that. “Sorry. I… urm… I was originally just exploring but then Lieutenant Dalton decided to make herself known to me, it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. It is amazing how Starfleet managed to accomplish such a feat of science, every day it continues to amaze me.” She explained in earnest.

Quinn blinked at the outburst, but wisely let it float effortlessly away. “Ohhh, so you met the ghost did you? And well, it’s only rumour, but apparently isn’t wasn’t Starfleet’s doing. Some freak accident or other. Not that anyone who knows anything is saying much. You know how the uppers get about things they want to keep a lid on…” Usually that meant that everyone knew something about it one way or another. Grapevines were surprisingly efficient if not accurate.

Ella shrugged, “She was different, its difficult to describe someone who appears on a monitor screen. She seemed Human enough but there’s no escaping the fact as you say ‘she’s a ghost in the machine’ but overall I liked her.” The two continued their walk down the corridor in relative silence stopping every so often as they checked the security of a door or Jeffries tube latch. “So what’s you’re story then?” She asked after a few more minutes of silence.
