Dalton’s amusement was rather apparent as she gazed at the security officer. “El’s it is. Far be it for me to invoke parental references. Some things are just… unnecessary.” She couldn’t relate, but she’d known people who hated being called how their parents referred to them.

For a moment, Cori’s gaze went distant, as if focused elsewhere. Refocusing on Ella, Cori gave something of a nod. “Well, carry on. I am needed elsewhere. And if you ever want to meet off a screen, let me know. Just call. I’ll hear,” she said with a grin.

“I’ll be sure to do that sometime, it was an enjoyable experience meeting you.” Ella was genuine with her response, she didn’t often like small talk and she wondered if it was because Cori was not technically a real person or if because Cori was or at least used to be a real person in the terms of flesh and blood and now in a unique situation that Ella found interesting either way she really did enjoy the chat. “Bye!”
