Striding through the corridors with a confidence uncommon to someone wearing an ensign pip, Enina quickly found herself in front of the Saracen’s Sickbay. She didn’t precisely remember if her parents had served on a Pendragon-class ship during her childhood, but it hadn’t been difficult to find the correct deck and location. She watched the doors slide open smoothly and, tucking her chin-length hair behind her ears, wandered in.Turning in a slow circle, Enina’s eyes flicked over the medical equipment around her. Admittedly, she hadn’t gotten to spend much time poking around this part of a ship during her upbringing. The plethora of medical staff around the clock made it difficult to infiltrate much past her normal childhood injuries and illnesses. Although, there was that one time she had managed to string them along for an extra few days after fracturing her femur and had figured out how to reprogram the biobeds to play “Danger Zone” when a patient’s heart rate dipped too low… she giggled lightly to herself at the thought and tossed her hair, mentally chastising herself. ‘You’re in Starfleet now, Enina, this is serious…’ Gulping back her fit of giggles and a proud smirk that no one had ever pinned that one on the little innocent CO’s daughter, she attempted a straight, professional face and looked around for someone to help her with her physical.

Wedged into an office the size of a Bolian voles footpad… He was really beginning to regret taking this assignment. He had made several hundred mental notes in the past few days about never, ever taking another assignment without reading the ship specifications first. He was practically folded double behind his desk, scrolling through personnel reports and department requisition lists. It wasn’t that he particularly minded administrative paperwork - it usually gave him something interesting to do while he waited for cultures to develop and analyses to run – but when one was trying to complete it in three square inches of office space, it did get rather wearing after two or three nano-seconds. He was briefly considering how much drama would be caused if he were to put in a request with Engineering to knock out a wall or two and just make it open plan, as he noticed a very young Ensign step through the main doors. Giving thanks and praise for the opportunity to get out of this euclidean hellscape, he stood up so quick he bashed his knee on the desk. Cursing to the First Mother, he half hobbled out of the office and waved off the inevitably descending Nurse Longstreet as he shook off the brief pain and approached the young woman with a broad smile “Good Morning, Ensign. I’m Doctor Harrison, can I help you?”
Harrison (CMO)
Enina watched Harrison make his way out of his office in clear amusement. He certainly didn’t seem to enjoy his surroundings, she noted, but then followed it up with an observation that his office was fairly small. She could fix that, she pondered, resisting the urge to wander about around the office to see the easiest way to handle the situation. She was lost in her thought, peering this way and that when Harrison came up to her and it took her a moment to process the question and remember why she was actually here.
“Oh, um, I’m here for my boarding physical. I just joined the crew,” she finally responded. She pointed at his knee and continued, “should I get you some childproofing devices for your desk so you don’t bang your knee again?” She knew the gold of her slightly rumpled uniform would make it clear her department… well, she supposed she could be a security officer, but he could figure that one out when he looked up her records.

He chuckled easily “Hazards of the job, it would seem. I’m fairly recently arrived myself. It seems whoever designed this ship didn’t feel the Chief Medical Officer should be more than three feet tall. Hop on up, give me a name and we will get you checked out.” He gestured to the nearest biobed as he walked over, grabbing a tricorder from the nurses station and flipping it open. He began a rudimentary bioscan, running the probe over her body. “Anything I should know?”
