After checking in with the Chief of Security he tried to remember his way from the floor plans to get to medical. He made it most of the way, but ended up getting slightly lost along the way. After looking up the floorplans again on a nearby console he realized where he took the wrong turn and made his way back to Medical. Upon walking in the waiting room wasn’t too filled and snagged a seat that faced the entrance. He didn’t want to disturb the doctors as it was just a boarding physical, so he waited patiently until one of them was ready to take him.

Daye watched the man enter sickbay and take a seat quietly near the door. She couldn’t decide if he was a bolter or a hypochondriac. Both types took that particular seat for some reason. She did not remember seeing him yet so she scanned the list of appointments finding new arrival physicals in bold along with a few names. “Hmmm are you Ensign Gareth or Ensign Pillsley,” Daye asked out loud to no one, in particular, looking over the vitals between the two men. Curiosity had gotten the better of her so she walked across the room to the waiting officer. “I’m Lt. Daye and I assume you are here for your physical,” she stuck out her hand. “And you are,” she asked.

OOC: Sorry this has taken so long for me to reply! Work has been a total nightmare lately .. basically in a sink or swim kind of situation right now x_x

OCC: Never a problem with me. Bump to me just means “yay you still want to post” OR “good god life just gob smacked me but I still want to post so hang on for a bit.”. Either way, I am always up to posting even if I am late to the party. Nice to have you back. ~ Kate.

IC: “Ah, good afternoon Lieutenant!” He promptly stood up as she approached, “Ensign Gareth and you’re correct. Just here for a boarding physical. Just arrived a little bit ago.” He reached out as well and shook her hand as he introduced himself. “Seems pretty busy today..?” He glanced around again hoping that he wasn’t inconveniencing anyone with his physical.

“Nah. I pawned off all the hard cases,” she waved the Ensigns comment off. “Busy is when Alindor decides we are having a warp core overhaul or security decides the PT training need to be kicked up a notch. That’s when the joint is jumping and I get half their departments in here. Come on,” she gestured for him to follow her over to a bed. Opening up his file she scanned it while she talked to him. “You security boys tend to take a beating. Give me the highlights,” she said pulling a tricorder out of her pocket.

He gave a slightly concerned smile at her PT comment and followed along. It was always necessary and always kept up, but for some reason he always HATED running. Didn’t matter what kind of gravity. He’d tolerate just about anything else, but running was definitely a great dislike of his. “Welp, we all have to keep in shape somehow .. right?” He hopped up on the bio bed as her tricorder came out. “Not too much, just the usual security bumps and bruises, nothing too serious though. Shoulder has been a little stiff lately, but probably from sleeping awkwardly in the shuttle ride here.”

Ensign Mike Gareth (Security)

Daye scanned him with the tricorder and then set it down waiting for the results. Reaching up she gently began to massage his shoulder trying to see if it was just tight muscles or the start of something more. Security officer’s body’s tended to take a beating with the demands of the job and the rigors that kept them in shape to do their job. “Does this hurt anywhere in particular,” she asked glancing down at the tricorder screen. If it was the beginnings of a shoulder injury she wanted to get ahead of it. If he was just stiff as heck a hot compress and mini massage would do wonders. Until the screen told her which one it was, Daye would progress slowly.
