(OOC: sorry if I read something wrong but I thought there was both a recording of the incident as well as the message. Let me know and I can change it if needed.)
IC:

Nyman replayed the recording again and again. Eyes locked on and taking notes the entire time. Timestamp and assailant actions: aggressive acts, maneuvers, hand signals, gestures. He had given each figure an Alpha-Numerical designation so as to better keep track of each individuals’ movements.

There were several pieces of information he was looking for. Patterns. The meaning of any gestures or signals they were using. Who appeared to be leading, and who was following. How was their group divided, if at all? Were there specialists who seemed to be focusing on other things rather than attacking? Were they targeting key parts of the facility, or was it haphazard destruction?

“Computer, pause,” the Commander said, taking a break to consciously blink a few times. Human eyes got tired very quickly. Plus they only had two of them, which means they were working twice as hard.

Nyman took a sip from the water on the desk. It was slightly unnerving, if he thought about it for too long, how easily he was able to slip back into this kind of intelligence work. The analysis, dissecting evidence, trying to get into the mind of an assailant. Add interrogation and memory absorption techniques, and it was what basically he had been originally trained for. In truth, though, behavior analysis was only a few steps away from counseling. The only real difference being motivation. Perhaps that’s why he adapted so well to being a counselor.

OOC: You are indeed correct, Greenway sent through a security recording of the incident :)

IC: Although the footage was not the highest quality, Nyman could see that the enemy combatants seemed to move in perfect synchronicity. There was no hesitation, no waiting for each other, they moved as one fluid unit, seamlessly navigating round each other as though they were one entity. They had a humanoid physique but their faces were obscured by form fitting tactical masks so it was impossible to determine their species. There were 5 individuals that made up their team and they appeared to possess incredible coordination, speed and accuracy. There was also no evidence of hand signals or verbal communication between them, they either had a well rehearsed plan of attack or they had another way of communicating.

Now what could that mean? He had a few theories, from most to least plausible:
Luck, hidden communication devices, exceptional skill, telepathy, a hivemind. Of course it was all just speculation at this point. He could narrow it down if he just knew something more about them.

“Computer,” he started, “Was there any additional data recorded along with the visual? Infrared, electromagnetic signatures, anything like that?”

~Confirmed. A low level psionic field was detected at the time of the incident.~ the computer helpfully replied as the screen flashed up a remote relay sensor scan which showed a faint telepathic field recorded during the attack.
