“Dr, should we stabilize him before moving?”

Sheleah didn’t feel completely out of her depth but, she should probably brush up on her emergency medical preparedness.

Sheleah, CNS/DO

“Yes. Get everyone out you can via transporter.” Ally pulled out her medical tricorder and took a scan of the room and set some parameters. There was no way she was going to leave with radiation levels rising. She could treat radiation exposure to an extent. Engineers were the second worst patients after security because both departments stretched the limits of their physical bodies.

Ally Scott CMO.

OOC: That is so true about what you just wrote about Security and Engineering!

IC: Matthew was droggy but coming to and hearing a lot of commotion. Looking up he saw two females. One he thought looked like the CMO but the other he had no idea. Come on Matthew! You can do this. Time to take control and have consciousness.. “Fjloyvvish.” Flawless. I’m getting there. He kept saying in his head. He slowly shook his head and tried again. “What’s going on?”

Captain Chris_Taggart
Captain USS_Chernov

“Good morning sleeping beauty,” Ally said running a tricorder over Matthew. He was obviously was disoriented waking up and Ally wanted him to take is slow for a moment. Easy banter usually did the trick. “You had us worried for a moment. How are you feeling? Anything hurt?”

Ally Scott CMO

Shalaya grabbed a tricorder and begin tending to another patient. He seemed unconscious at the moment but, she could perform scans almost as fast as allie.

  • Sheleah, CNS/DO

“My ankle hurts as do my…my head…as well as my head. How are you?”. He was still out of it.

“Good and I am going to fix you right up.”

Sheleah scanned three other beings. All are human. One had bleeding out of his ears from a blow to the head.

“Sheleah,” she called out to the counselor.

“I need you to use this and try to mitigate the concussion,” Ally directed the counselor. The ankle might hurt more but the head was a far more serious injury.

“On it.”

  • Sheleah, CNS/DO

The second has second to third degree burns on their right arm from a fire from a console exploding.

Triaging Ally immediately went to the burn victim. Third degree burns sent people into shock and that was the most dangerous of all the injuries. Reaching into her bag, she pulled out the burn gel and began to layer it on the skin. He would definitely need skin grafts but she needed to keep him out of shock. Grabbing the thermal blanket, Ally opened it and spread it on the patient.

“I need someone over here keeping Lt. Barton alert,” Ally yelled. She did not care if it was Lyndsie or Balfor.

The third has a large six inch laceration across their chest from the same console that exploded. The blood is bright color and not coming out in spurts

Immediately moving to the third patient, Ally stuck her fingers into the chest wound and screamed for help. “I need a hand,” she barked out as if she were a Captain in command.

A few moments later, the CO had done all he could to help. Now it was just waiting for the other two engineers to finish up and exit engineering. He stood by the doors waiting. . . .

Kolar had finally had found someone for the conn and arrived at the doors to engineering. “What’s the situation,” Kolar asked.

Looking out into the corridor, he saw the CMO still working on the chief engineer.

“How is he, Ally?”
Captain Daniel “DaVinci” Colter
CO/CIO USS Saracen

“I need someone in here with another set of hands,” she yelled not caring which voice came in to answer her call.

Ally Scott CMO

DaVinci was just about to leave the open doorway when he saw Kolar rounding the bend in the corridor. Breathing a sigh of relief, he nodded in Ally’s direction as an indicator for the XO.

He did not question why her hand was buried knuckle deep into the sternum of the man bleeding between them. There had to be a reason and hopefully Ally had an answer. That was not a textbook response to a chest wound, unless she had identified a huge vein bleed and was pinching it closed. It certainly was sterile.

Kolar looked over her shoulder. He could make a medical assessment as well as anyone, but while many interventions were two person jobs, the second person had to be notified on what help they were to give. “What do you need doctor,” Kolar asked moving to the patient no one was tending to.”

Kolar XO

“I need you to get a that dermal regenerator, that clamp, the auto suction, and a that roll of gauze from my bag.” Ally made a gesture with her head. “The second I move my fingers we have about 15 seconds before the blood loss reaches critical and 30 seconds after the patient will slide into coma and death. His wound is in the artery. The initial blast was close to damaging it but when I went to start treating him, the artery ruptured. Hold the auto suction with one hand and the clamp with the other. When I pull my hand out, stick the auto suction deep into the wound. The blood is going to come fast and I need to see where I am clamping. Get ready because we are doing this on three. One,” she began to count down.

Ally Scott.

Kolar found the items and knelt down next to Ally. He was not squeamish about blood or injuries however the site was still unsettling. Waiting until he heard the final count of one, Kolar reacted with the calm efficiency all those in command positions seemed to innately possess.

Shoving the auto suctioner into the wound, Kolar held his breath for a moment. The device was extracting the blood almost as fast as the vein was pumping it out.

Ally muttered out a few choice words that would make a sailor’s ears blush as she worked to find the artery leaking like a faucet. Her words were angry and franatic but her motions were calm and collected. As fast as the artery began pumping out blood, it suddenly stopped as Ally clamped it. The suction machine immediately evacuated the space giving Kolar an unobstructed view of the man’s diaphragm working like a bellow trying to keep his lungs inflated.

Ally glanced up at Kolar as she began to suture the artery and noticed he didn’t seem woozy or about to pass out. “Strong constitution or,” she let her voice trail off.

“Or,” Kolar ended the conversation with a single word. He might have been young but he saw enough in the camp during the war.

Kolar and Scott were doing a great job and thanks to the CMO’s quick decision, it was working just fine.

He took a few steps back into the engine room and yelled out for the two engineers still attempting to shut everything down. “NE Radford, What’s happening in there? You just about just have the situation under control?”

Captain Daniel “DaVinci” Colter
CO/CIO USS Saracen

As she left, she came to everyone’s location. “Am I needed with anything?” She asked.

Another look of relief came across DaVinci’s face as he looked up and saw Angel, someone else with engineering experience.

“Lt. Angel, there are two more engineers in there trying to control the situation. Get in there and give them whatever help you can. You’ve got about 30 minutes before the radiation reaches dangerous levels!”

Captain Daniel “DaVinci” Colter
CO/CIO USS Saracen

“Yes sir.” As Angel started to run inside to help what she can in 30 minutes. Not sure what to expect but she will do her best to help out. She got in there and started to work as fast as possible.

U.S.S. Saracen

The CO watched Angel disappear into the engine and then knelt down beside Quiggly. “Chief, any idea of what happened in there? What caused the explosion?

“There was a spark in the warp core controls and then the machines blew up. But there was no problems with the core itself. That’s all I know Cap. I’m sorry.” He shook his head in disgust and held it down in shame.

Captain Daniel “DaVinci” Colter
CO/CIO USS Saracen

“Doc, here if you need me.” Sheleah called out.

  • Sheleah, CNS/DO

Angel had found someone but not sure who it was. The chief is with captain from what she can tell before she took off.

She tapped her combadge. =/\= “Captain. From what I can tell it’s to extensive. I don’t think we can get it under control. What should we do?” =/\= She tapped her combadge again

Lt. Commander Matthew Quigley, CE

=^=Don’t give up just yet, L. T. The chief is coming around.=^=

=^=Computer how much time is left before the radation reaches dangerous levels?=^=

After a brief moment, the computer replied, =^=There are 27.6 minutes before radiation in engineering reaches critical.=^=

“I can fix anything up to 30 minutes except the hair loss,” Ally stated pausing for a second and then nodding as if confirming her prior statement. “That will just take a few weeks to grow back.”

Ally Scott CMO

“You’ve got 2 engineers and Angel in there trying to shut things down. Can you put any weight on that leg? If not, you’re kinda scrawny, if I carry you, can the 4 of you get everything shut down in the remaining time?”

Captain Daniel “DaVinci” Colter
CO/CIO USS Saracen

=/\= “Yes sir. Understood. I’ll be awaiting for the Chief’s arrival back here.” =/\=. She said with a nod, looking at the two other engineers.
