Hi all, with the lull between Sims for us I’m feeling like its time to run a side sim that I’ve had in my pocket for quite a while. It was once intended to be my own GMT sim but I don’t have time to commit to that anymore, so instead I’ll run it as a more casual, relaxed and hopefully fun adventure for us.

A few things about it so everyone is on the same page:

• I know many of us are very busy in RL, so no stress if you don’t have time to join in.
• anyone is free to join, if you don’t want to use your main char, feel free to use an NE or ask to add a secondary char for it.
• It isn’t a main sim, so if you don’t want to join in, don’t feel like you should be. No pressure.
• If you have joined and feel like you no longer wish to continue with it or run out of time, just let me know, its’ ok and it won’t derail anything. You are welcome to jump in again later when it suits you.
• Feel free to add to the story, not just survive on what Information I provide. I do have a direction for it but, life doesn’t always go the way we intend, right?
• If you are part of it and can’t post for a while, the thread will still move on (unless the thread is specifically just two characters and can pause until you are back). Once you return, jump in where it feels natural. Again, no pressure, just enjoy your writing.
• There is nothing grand or sweeping or massive about this, its just Trek. So lets do Trek.
• Ask Questions and talk to me if and when you need to. The whole point is to enjoy writing, together. If you have an idea to make something better, I am all ears.
• It’s a relaxed storyline but please, read the room. If two characters are having a moment or developing something great, chat to them first maybe ‘OOC’ about having NE Periwinkle drop by with donuts and a solution to their problem lol This kind of thread is usually pretty obvious and we are all great writers so, I don’t expect it to be an issue. If in doubt, Hit me up in Discord.

If you have an idea for another thread as part of the side sim, you are welcome to start it or talk to me about starting it up. Co-operative writing works really well when we write co-operatively, funny thing really. Almost like it’s meant to be. A hobby, almost.

I will very likely be adding a few characters from my extended roster to help tell the story, so don’t be surprised if weird new characters suddenly appear on posts.

Small edit - will be starting the side sim tomorrow, so feel free to message me if you want to add a char etc. Plus if ‘timeline’ is important to anyone, lets say it happens after the last sim and dept debriefings and before the Saracen returns to Meridian Station for R&R and our next Sim. No Rest For The Wicked.
