DaVinci turned away from the computer monitor and rubbed his eyes withe the heels of his hands. It had been a long day meeting the new faces on the Saracen, the faces that had not been there when he left.

There was one last name on the list and the XO was determined to get this task finished before his shift was over.

=^=Ltjg. Foster, this is Cmdr. Colter. If you’re not too busy at the moment, olease report to my office.=^=

He leaned back, closed his ice and imagined how good a colf beer was going to taste after his day was done.

=On my way, Commander,=^= Foster called out. The XO would hear a slight echo in the background, suggesting that the COS was in a more confined area. “Computer, reroute lift to XO’s office,” Nicholas said as they were approaching their previous destination. The freshly minted JG had only taken the position as Security Chief after his predecessor was reassigned without notice.

Nick didn’t have the previsit jitters that newer officers were known to have, he just wanted whatever meeting that was planned to be over. LtJG Foster smiled and nodded at an Engineering Lt, as they both approached either end of the XO’s door. Though, while Foster stopped, the Lieutenant continued on. Nicholas pressed the chime and waited to be called in.
