She grimaced. “You can keep the bacon all for yourself, I don’t mind. I technically could eat meat if it was replicated, but it’s just easier to avoid wondering wherever I am.” She looked up at the server, her dark eyes taking him in. “I’ll have the mushroom quiche with the oskoid salad, heavy on the oil,” she said before looking back at the menu. “Plus the vegetable fritters, and… oh what the heck, the spicy black bean dip with flatbread.” She folded up her menu and gazed at Dante as if daring him to comment on her rather large food order.

The waiter had paused slightly himself at the order, before nodding and noting it on the PaDD and then glancing at Dante to take his turn. “I’ll have the Meze platter and the spinakopita, and the black bean dip and flatbread sounds good too but make mine more spicy than normal, thank you” he told the man who promptly disappeared letting Dante relax back and raise an eyebrow slightly to his CMO. “It felt a little wrong to go full bacon in the face of that” he grinned, “I may be Italian at heart but I was raised on a variety of dishes including what we call Greek and Mediterranean. You might like the spinakopita, if your alright with cheese and egg of course. Did you, miss out on lunch today?”

“Nope!” she said with a grin. “And I love spanakopita.” Her dark eyes searched him for a moment as Boja took a brief moment to reflect. “My telekinesis requires an incredible amount of energy, which means a higher than average metabolism and thus a higher caloric intake need. It also means I can’t tolerate alcohol or synthehol as much as others can, so I limit myself to one drink,” she said openly, warning him that she wouldn’t be refilling her glass.
