“I’ll go grab my emitter from Sickbay and be there shortly,” she said.

He still didn’t quite understand her situation but the way she saw it he was going to come face to face with it pretty quickly. Fist whim as she appeared in Sickbay was that she should wear casual clothes to this meeting. It would at least cement the idea that she wasn’t an officer like he was expecting. But she was also keenly aware of wanting people to understand that her loyalty to Starfleet and the Federation had never waned- not once in all these years. So when she walked out of Sickbay, it was in her blue sciences uniform, with her two solid pips attached. She wore no commbadge though, since it was hardly required unless she was going off the ship.

The only thing that would distinguish her from any other crew member was the rathe visible band on her arm with a device attached. It appeared much like a phase discriminator, but was Cori’s holographic emitter system that allowed her some mobility in what otherwise would be a devastatingly limited existence. It needed regeneration regularly but she could go a couple days on the battery if needed.

Approaching the Counsellor’s office, she smirked slightly as she pressed the chime, knowing it would set a better impression than just walking in, even though he was completely expecting her.

The doors slid open and Sinclair looked up. “Hello again. I appreciate your taking pains to help me out here. Please, have a seat.” and he laughed slightly. “Here is where I would normally offer you something to drink, but I have a feeling that’s not really applicable here.” he added with a slight wink.

“Not really, no,” Dalton replied as she settled gracefully into the sofa. She crossed her legs at the knee and draped one arm casually along the back, her electric blue gaze intense.

“So what do you prefer to be called? You have a few monikers to choose from, I gather.”

Sinclair, CNS

“As I am, I’m Corinne Dalton. Cori, if you prefer. Most of my friends always called me that. But when I’m in the system and acting on behalf of the ship, I’m Sarah. It’s a pretty messy acronym someone came up with that we’ve just gone with. It fit, since I am for all intents and purposes the Saracen, and the Saracen is me. But, we can also be separate.” It was complicated, but she was sure he had that already figured out.
