Royal sat in his office going over every record he could find on the unique crew member he wanted to speak with. Once he had read everything he could find, which wasn’t much, he simply looked up from his desk and said “Excuse me, Lieutenant. I would like to speak with you, if you have a moment.”

But instead, he got the standard computer voice. “Please restate the request.”

Sinclair smiled a bit and said “If possible, I would like to speak with Lieutenant Dalton.”

A moment later there was the same voice he had heard earlier sounding in his office. “Well, here she is. What can I do for you, Commander?” It was possible that there was a slight tinge of amusement in her voice, or it could very well be a figment of his imagination.
