“Well, I haven’t noticed any red flags or anything and any time my staff noted anything that might require mental health attention, it’l be flagged in their files. I would simply suggest having the computer run a search for the flags since you have the clearance to do so.” She technically did too, but it was beyond her purview most of the time. At least focusing on the question about the rest of the crew allowed her to hide her slight unease at his hunt for patients. She never usually avoided counsellors, but the last while had been confusing at best and she wasn’t even sure how to talk about it all. And Teller had proven to be a great listening, among other things, so she always felt she was covered. And as an adept telepath she was able to note interest and deflect it easily. Most of the time.

OOC: I’m going to assume this is around the time Kavia shows up in the side sim I’m running, but up to you whether it’s before or after.

“Already started there, Doctor. I was just wondering what your opinion on the crew’s overall mental and emotional state is. Records are great for individuals; but until I have time to meet and talk to them, I was just curious as to how the crew as a whole was doing.”

“Overall, people are transitioning to a new command team, yet again, and doing their best to keep up with changes. I think they’re doing pretty well, all said and done.” Boja was thoughtful for a moment. “But if there is anyone you may want to check on it’s Corinne, or SARAH, depending on how you interact with her. She’s our person-turned- AI and she won’t be on your crew manifest, per say.”

Sinclair’s eyebrows rose in mild surprise and confusion. “Person-turned-AI? What do you mean?” he asked.

Boja regarded him with almost a hint of surprise. “Well, I suggest you do your research before you seek her out, or ask nicely.” She turned her head to call out to no one in particular. “Don’t shoot the messenger!” she said with almost amusement to the air.

“I only know the cursory details and what was in the medical records when I boarded, but Corinne Dalton was a science ensign here on the ship. Through some sort of holodeck accident no one’s ever been quite able or willing to explain, Corinne died. But the holodeck somehow preserved her consciousness and tried to store it. It basically stashed her throughout the ship’s computer infrastructure and she’s no permanently with us. I guess at some point it was decided she was still helpful and she functions as a second AI to our computer’s current interface. She tends to appear randomly on screens and anywhere there are holoemitters. And our Chief Engineer was able to reverse engineer some sort of holoemitter for her to wear based on other samples, so she is also mobile about the ship. She uses Sickbay as a base and her emitter stays here when she’s not using it. She goes by the moniker SARAH when she’s in AI form, and prefers Corinne or Cori when in a personal situation. She’s been a bit… moody lately, so I thought it might be a good idea for you to talk with her.”

Sinclair looked stunned while the transformation explanation was given and the voice came through, but when the Doctor finished he said “Crew is crew. If she is part of this crew, I will do my best to speak with her and see if I can be of any help.” he said with no hint of discomfort, looking around to see if he could ascertain an answer to his next question. “How do I contact her?”
