: : : : : : : : : : : “Commander Vienne Aullar, I am Mr. Williams, temporal agent from the 31st century. You are currently onboard the 24th century Starfleet vessel, USS Saracen… and you’ve been slightly temporally displaced by 4 hours.”

: : : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : : The problem with rompers was that they, while stylish, had to be completely removed in order to visit the restroom. Vi let it drop right back to the floor, undisturbed by the idea of modesty, and narrowed her eyes sharply. She kicked the cloth away, unwilling to be hampered if necessary. Her fingers twitched as she only just stopped from roughly grabbing the man by his collar. The hum of a starship was evident even through the soles of her sandals. The oxygen was highly processed. But–
: : : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : : Vi cocked her head in a show of listening. “No alarms.” It wasn’t a question, yet she expected an answer.
: : : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : : Commander Aullar
: : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : “I am a guest of this ship at the present,” explained Williams. He didn’t remark at her lack of clothing, and he was acting as if the whole ordeal was normal . “The lack of alarms are due to the nature of how you were transported on the ship. I do hope that making you disappear while you were using the restroom was not an inconvenience, but there is a restroom behind me. Your removal from the exact point in spacetime had to be done with the least impact to the timeline… Though, there is already sufficient damage currently that has caused me to join forces with the Saracen’s crew.”

: : : :
: : : : “I have two life signs in the XO’s quarters Sir” the officer at the station told Dante, “A moment ago there was only one, and that wasn’t very clear like we have come to expect of our Mr Williams”. Nodding, Dante pushed himself straight and smiled slightly “He got her back, find out what happened, what do the sensors say?”
: : : : : : :
: : : : : : : Vi toed off the fashion sandals, flexing her feet, and snorted at him. “This is still not the 24th century,” she stated. “That is what is inconvenient to me.” She squatted to rifle through the pockets of her discarded clothing. A comm badge clunked out and she snatched it up. It had seen better days, but it was still functional… more or less.
: : : : : :
: : : : : : “Believe me, Commander, I know it isn’t. If it was, so would this ship. Sufficient to say, there is a madman trying to change Earth’s history by preventing World War 3… which apparently affects the timeline that prevents the founding of the Federation… and along with that, my potential future as well as this ship’s,” explained Williams.
: : : : :
: : : : : Not only his.
: : : : :
: : : : : : : She scowled. Out of practice she may be, but the gears were already turning. “Get me the Captain.”
: : : : : : :
: : : : : : : Commander Aullar
: : : : : :
: : : : : : “This way, please,” said Williams.
: : : : :
: : : : : Vi left her outer clothes behind. She didn’t need those and, honestly, she liked the cold press of the floors against her feet. The hum felt right in a way no planet ever did. Her sister often commented that each ship felt different, but Vi could never tell. An engine was an engine.
: : : :
: : : : They passed several crew, but the combination of Mr Williams and a scowling, lightly dressed woman in tow was enough for most of them to give the pair a wide berth, although they received plenty of stares as they moved down the corridors.
: : : : :
: : : : : : Williams lead Commander Aullar to the turbolift and to the Bridge, where he found the Captain as expected to be.
: : : :
: : : : Hearing the sound of the Turbo-lift, Dante turned around and took a step back towards the Command Chair expecting to see Mr Williams lead Divine onto the Bridge. Instead, he stopped in some slight shock that he took great care to hide from the Bridge crew as the man led a very scantily clad, attractive woman, well, attractive even if her skin color didn’t seem slightly, off, onto his Bridge. “Williams” the Captain acknowledged their guest, “Where is Commander Serenity, and, uh?” he gestured to the new arrival, then quickly glared around at the Bridge crew, who, after a moment or three, turned back to their stations.
: : : : : :
: : : : : : “Captain Knight, may I introduce Commander Aullar… If you don’t mind, I would appreciate a private conversation for the remaining of the introduction.”
: : : : :
: : : : : She held up her badge between two fingers obligingly as her gaze swept the room behind him.
: : : : :
: : : : : Vi was well aware she appeared to be a ticked, Human, underwear model. When people stared, curious or otherwise, it gave her an advantage. While she would not have names, she would have faces. Faces were more information than she’d had in a long time.
: : : : :
: : : : : Commander Aullar
: : : :
: : : : “Commander?” he began, then nodded and tilted his head towards the door to his Ready Room. “Of course, this way please” he said, and then led the way before them, the doors sliding open for him and allowing the three to enter, sliding closed quickly behind them.
: : : :
: : : : : : Stepping into the Ready Room, Williams debriefed Captain Knight the situation: “She apparently fell through a temporal crack in spacetime, and my technology happened to detect her presence. She is currently displaced in time, by 3 hours and 45 minutes… meaning there is, at the moment, another version of her on Earth at present,” said Williams, “Sufficient to say, it was the only means of removing her safely to the ship, and time is currently not on our side.”
: : : : : :
: : : : : : GM
: : : :
: : : : Dante listened for a moment and then turned to the newcomer. “Commander Aullar” he said, “Welcome to the Saracen, can I, get you something to drink, to wear perhaps?” Despite the situation and the worry he held and that was mounting for Divine, he flashed a slight grin to her.
: :
: : Vi deliberately down at herself and then back up to the Captain. More than anything else, she just wanted a sonic shower… and several rounds of liquor. “A uniform,” she suggested with a one-shouldered shrug. “Sir.”
: :
: : : : “Nearly four hours displaced from us? And you have another version of you running around? Isn’t that slightly, dangerous Mr Williams? How did we end up with two versions of the Commander?” As he spoke he moved to the replicator, and glanced at the both of them. “And what exactly are you doing here in the first place?”
: : : :
: : : : Captain Knight
: : : : CO
: :
: : “What am I doing? What are you?” she returned, immediately twisting slightly to look towards Williams in expectation.
: :
: : : “With your understanding of temporal physics, it is, Captain, but it is necessary. She won’t be in a position to disappear from Earth without causing an issue until 4 hours from now. She is at the intersection of time where her disappearance would go unnoticed, and not damage the timeline further. She is from the 24th century, and while I’d be happy to send her back from whence she slipped in time, unfortunately, due to the influx of the temporal event that will take place unless your crew stops it, I am unable to do so,” said Williams, “She belongs on your ship, at least, and not down on 20th century Earth unless she is to take part in preventing the temporal event. Without breaking the Temporal Directive, Captain, her presence is essential to reverting the temporal event so that history is back on track. Besides, her current self on Earth is nowhere near New York, which is where the temporal event will occur. At least, that is becoming more apparent as time passes to the temporal event. My instruments are still less than optimal from working, unfortunately.”
: : :
: : : GM
: :
: : “Temporal event.” Vi said flatly. Her arms crossed and the tight pressure from her grip visibly indented her skin. “This sounds a much larger problem than just one out of time starship. My initial displacement is related?” Her speech dropped its 20th century mannerisms into her natural cant– well enough, though slightly accented. “What is the status of this reversal?”
: :
: : Commander Aullar
:
: “Again, Commander, I am a temporal agent from the 31st century. Someone or something has altered the timeline such that World War 3 doesn’t occur, and that has unraveled the timeline to the point that I can’t return to the 31st century. Neither can the Saracen. Whoever or whatever caused a temporal anomaly that allowed them to travel to the past was created in the 24th century. Apparently, the Saracen fell into the same temporal anomaly that allowed time travel event. I happened to discover the Saracen in the solar system when my instruments began to fail. As for you, your time travel incident was unrelated, however sufficient to say, your presence will likely help in preventing the temporal event. As for the status, we have not yet idenified on the person or thing that will trigger the event, but there is a high probability that involves with a Colonel Greene.”
:
: GMVienne snorted. “These Terrans are gunning for it, regardless. They will find a way.”
Dante stood and moved to the replicator and punched in a code, then lookd back at the Commander. “What is your background, what Department Uniform do you need” he asked “and you don’t look well, rather pale if I may say so. Do you need medical attention Commander?”
“Security into Command.” Vi brought her thumb to her mouth and licked it, before rubbing it roughly across the side of one cheek. The pale Human color gave way to a distinct deep green. “I was Oed V’s Executive Officer.”
Once with the information in hand, Dante replicated the correct uniform and returned to Vi, handing it over to her, along with a cup of raktajino.
“I find myself stuck in the 21st Century and out of touch with the Federation, if you are able to resume duties, I could use your assistance. Especially from someone familiar with the time period, our own Lt Commander Colter is originally from this era as well, by a strange twist of fate although 20 years early.
Captain Knight
COEfficiently stepping into a uniform was still ingrained into her muscle memory and Vi dressed one handed, sniffing at the cup. Non-alcoholic, a shame, but still a drink she had been unable to procure in the time period. She drank half of it in one go. The scalding temperature was shot enough. “Sick,” she said, the slang particularly odd in her natural accent. “If you want a crash course on culture on stalking, we will need to get you an Insta.”
Commander Aullar
“I have no idea what you just said” Dante said with a slight grin, “but I hope it’s not how they speak down there, otherwise even our universal translators are going to struggle.” His eyes had risen slightly at the revelation of green under what had now been revealed to be makeup. An Orion could be dangerous on a Starship, but this one had been a Starfleet Officer, and a Starfleet Executive Officer at that, and it seemed with Divines untimely disappearance, that was what he needed now.
“Alright Commander, please input your personnel ID into this PaDD” he said and handed her one of the nearby units. “I’ll get you logged onto the ship and go over your file. For now, go get some rest in the guest quarters, take a shower and wash that cover off. I’ll call you when we have more to go on, one of the Ensigns from Security will show you to your quarters.”
