Lounge - a good stiff drink

Natasha walked into the lounge and headed straight for the bar. She heard there was a new bartender in town who among mixing drinks had a lot of other talents. One of them was a kitchen. Sitting down at the bar, Natasha drummed her nails waiting for the man to approach her. What surprised her most was his age. The man was not a spring chicken by any stretch of the imagination. Now Daye was curious.

Lews spotted the newcomer, it wasn’t the busiest of times as he seperated himself from Klorn the Bolian, and left herchatting amiaciably with a few others. On his way he paused recahing under the bar for a pair of glasses and a bottle. Then he grabbed fresh sliced oranges and a shaker of some sort. He was an older gentleman, grandfatherly, though the eyes had a quick analyitical look to them as he stopped before Doctor Daye. He might have been older, but something about him said he was not beyond his years. The smile was sincere, warm, and inviting as arrived.

“Welcome Doctor, Traditional Vodka Service?” Lews asked in old world accented Russian, setting down the bottle, glasses and accoutements.

Lews laughed, and looked at the tray. “Semi traditional it is.” Lews reached under the bar and pulled out two more shot glasses, and a bowl of soft peppermint candies. In the Bar mixer he dropped a bit of ice, and poured a little more than two shots of the shimmering clear liquid. Then a bit of lemon was squeezed. Then he dipped the first two shot glasses in the wet sponge to dampen the rim, and rolled them in the white pepper. To coat one side of each rim. With a shake of the bar shaker, he poured the chilled lemon vodka into the shot glasses and set one in front of each of them. Dumping the shaker, and setting it to the side, Lews crushed two of the soft peppermint candies and pushed the bowl over to Nat. This time however instead of chilling the Vodka, he warmed it and added the crushed candies watching them vanish in the mixture.

“Guaranteed to warm you on a cold night, and cure what ails you by morning.” Lews responded with a grandfatherly wink.
