Kalani walked into her science lab with two old beers and two bags of chips. Just as she was about to call out she noticed to long legs sticking out from under a console. The knees and legs moved slightly back and forth in a way that Kalani could surmise the hidden upper half was tightening something and was using them for leverage. She stood silent for a moment just watching Alindor work. There was something inherently sexy about a man that could fix things and something romantic about a man fixing something for you.

Clearing her throat, Kalani spoke in a loud voice making sure Alindor knew she was now in the room. “Hey handsome wanna take a break,” she said crossing the room until she was next to his legs. Dropping to the ground she laid on her back and wiggled under the console Jarred was working on until she was next to him. “I have two beers and two bags of the greatest chips ever: Bugles and Lays. I watch a show called Good Mythical Galaxy and the hosts, Brett and Sink swear that if you are looking for a salty snack these are the things you should go for. Any preference on which one you want to try first,” she asked turning to look at him in the semi-dark space.

Jarred brought his body down, flat on the floor so he could look at her. He couldn’t help but smile, and knew the best response, “I would much rather try this first.” he said as he positioned his body closer to her, letting his hand drape around her side as he kissed her softly. It wasn’t a deep passion filled kiss, but it felt light and romantic and seemed to fill the room with a static charge. The two had been taking a weird pace, mix of affection and pure awkwardness but for one moment Jarred just wanted to do what he wanted and right at that second, he merely wanted to kiss a pretty girl who made his stomach feel tangled in butterflies.

“I think that’s the best treat here.” he said as his lips separated from hers, only to find them right back where they started wanting a second taste as he let his lips continue where they were this time it did feel a bit more passion filled, the only thing stopping him from letting his mind get lost in the bliss was the sharp pain as he cracked his he on the console.

“Son of a bitch!” he shouted as he moved back down rubbing his head. Cheeks flushing he felt embarrassed, thinking about how that awkwardness never seemed to evade him for long with Kalani be laughed as he kissed her cheek. “I’m fine, I’m fine. Come on lets get out of here.” he said reassuringly to her as he dragged himself out from under.
