Narva walked down into the heart of the warbird; the engine room. This room gave power to every section of the ship. It was important to know how this affected the overall operations. Narva wanted to speak with not just the chief but all members.

Saeihr watched as Sub-Commander Narva entered the engine room, honored that she would visit her, she stood up straight and placed her hands behind her back as she walked over and met her at the entrance, “Sub-Commander Narva. What an honor to have you here in the engine room. Is there something I can assist you with?”

Was it really an honor? He was simply the first officer and Chief of Science Control. I’ve come to get an overview of the ship systems. I’m not as familiar as I should be. I probably am better aquainted with science labs than any other parts of the ship.”

Saeihr’s words were polite, perhaps too polite, and she knew it. In truth, she didn’t see the visit as an honor. Sub-Commander Narva’s presence in her domain felt more like an intrusion, but as a seasoned officer, she masked her true feelings with respect and protocol.
Saeihr suppressed a sigh. It was a common enough occurrence that officers from different departments rarely understood the intricacies of her work. Still, she couldn’t deny him the tour, even if his presence was an unwelcome distraction from her usual routine.
“Of course, Sub-Commander,” she replied, her tone even and professional. “I would be happy to walk you through the systems. We’ll start with the warp core. Follow me.”

“Thank you chief.” Narva followed the Chief of Warbird Control to the warp core.

“Of course Commander,” She said as she began, “This is the heart of our ship,” gesturing towards the pulsating core with a mix of pride. “The warp core regulates our primary power systems and facilitates faster-than-light travel. It’s crucial for our mission capabilities. It’s the backbone of our operations,” Saeihr explained, her tone infused with genuine enthusiasm. “It powers everything from our propulsion to our defensive systems.”
She paused as she turned to the Commander, “I can get caught up in all the details and mechanics of these things. Is there something particular you want to see. Any specific questions you have?”
