With everyone having blood samples, they were easily passed through the sterile field near the pad limits to the waiting NU’s. Scans as Narva looked at them confirmed the were infected by the spores of the plant life below which was reacting with their copper based blood and organic make up producing a quite virulent allergic reaction. It was quite uncomfortable causing extreme distracting itchiness and pin pricks across their bodies and light rashing in places. But beyond some sniffling and occasional sneezing and watery eyes they werent going to die it seems. The catalyst for a reaction like the now dead Ulan had was the trigger toxins from the attacking plant. Which as stated was slowly eating him from the inside out over what would be the next few hours, which would in time generate more spores and likely birth a new attacking plant. All in all within 2-3 days give or take.

Narva took the scanner. The reading were consistent with allergic reaction to whatever the plant had sprayed. On the bright side, they weren’t going to die. On the bad side.
those things would make a new plant.

“We should get the body off the ship.” Rul said. “Life support filters should be able to contain the release of any more spores, but I’d rather not chance it. Beam it to low orbit and let reentry incinerate it

”..The bigger question is where to place you all? Isolation in the medical bay would be one option. But if you went back to the planet maybe you could get more information on this plant that attacked you. Could help us formulate a counter to it..” the NU Nurse said.

Purola shook her head “She’s got a point” She put a hand up rubbing her right earlobe, her thinking posture “In quarantine we’re practically useless, dirtside we’ll be able to find samples to formulate a counteragent against the local flora, now that we know what to look for we may be able to avoid it, although perhaps wearing EVA’s may be useful I don’t know if we want to lose mobility, perhaps masks would be a compromise?” she asked.
