Good, slave, Karek thought to himself as the Reman had done as he had ordered. Karek wasn’t sure the Reman was a slave, but there were so many Remans who were, it would be forgiveable to think of them such. They were a subservient race, inferior to the Romulans in any case. He gave the crewman an appreciative nod.

The Chief of Warbird Control entered and moved to the transporter controls. He watched the interaction between the Crew and the Reman, but kept his face expressionless. Rul scanned the location the crew would beam down to and a full ten kilometers around it.

A quick scan of the area showed just some smaller wild life, a lot of plant life and brush, a few small to medium sized streams, a few aerial birds, the only thing of note was a small cluster of native humanoids near a small cave system about 8km north of where they were to beam down, rough count put it at about 6 life signs, 2 of which showed likely were female and with child.

Narva entered behind his two senior officers. He was ready to lead this mission. He didn’t like the use of weapons. But, the team needed to defend themselves if necessary. “Gear up and let’s get going.”he said. Narva picked up a pistol and knife and sheaved them.

Once the team was prepared the transporter operated did one final system check looking to their Commander, “..All system checks green, Commander. We can transport your team down upon your order..” He said.

With his gear packed (including some extra weapons for the team.... one could never be too safe), a portable scanner, and his uniform as adapted to the climate down below, Karek went to the transporter platform, ready to beam down to the surface and spread the word of the Empire.
