It was 0400 in the morning when the Rovarran’s entire command staff was summoned from their sleep or off duty rest to the main briefing room of the Admiral of Imperial Outpost 27 where the Rovarran had been docked for the past two weeks to fully refit and train. It was barely less then a week since an imperial announcement to the Empire made news that the Star Empire had reestablished contact with the Federation after events along the Neutral Zone on D’ruh (OOC: December) 26th of 2364. Now on Kri’Brax (January) 1st 2365 by the Imperial Calendar the Imperial Navy had felt a wash of recharge at this news. Some rumors spoke of a coming war perhaps with the Federation and their blighted Klingon ally dogs. But for now as the command crew came to the Admiral’s briefing room they were escorted in by a pair of sub-lieutenant aides. After ensuring the staff had some basic drinks and the like the pair went to their aide position in the room informing the staff that Admiral Tahee would be with them shortly.

Rh’vaurek sipped at his drink, eagerly looking forward to getting the briefing over with so he could go back to bed. Why Admirals insisted upon having briefings at the ungodly hours of the morning was beyond him, but he was here, the Admiral would quite literally have his head if he wasn’t. He wasn’t fully familiar with Admiral Tahee, but knew that when any Admiral tells you to report for a briefing, you attend.

To that end, he gently swirled his glass, trying to not fall asleep in his chair, as that would not look good for his image if the Admiral caught him sleeping. Of course, he probably wouldn’t be getting much more sleep today anyway, as this was in the stead of the contact with the Federation and likely they were being assigned their mission.
