The Sierra reached orbit and Whitney reported in to Starfleet HQ their situation and there was a short tense moment when he was told that he had to report to his superior for a debrief. As the CO leaned back on his chair, his face had the ‘O well…’ look.

Kolar tilted his head sympathetically. Nobody liked talking to the boss, but Whitney had put his ship on the deck, failed to report the issue, and had a star-ship pulled out of patrol to find them… that wasn’t going to go unnoticed.

The Sierra hailed the Olinski with the CO giving this message, =/\=USS Brian Olinksi, this is Captain Whitney of the USS Sierra. Please accept my thanks for the aid that you have provided my crew and me.=/\=

Kolar looked at him.. there was no reason to stay… “With your permission?” he questioned and paused.

Mirri headed back to the shuttle and prepared to take off and provide support once they were back in the air.

Kolar was not a paranoid man by nature. He did, however, dislike unsolved mysteries… Captain Whitney had not explained to his satisfaction why he put his ship on the deck. But since everyone seemed fine and the ship was about to go back on its way… Whitney did not owe him an explanation… so.. it was what it was.

=^= Wait one commander,=^= Kolar walked several steps away and lowered his voice. =^=There was no reason to put the ship on the deck in a storm unless the captain wanted to put it on the ground… why… the only reason why I can come up with is he wanted to hide something.=^=

=^=Mrs. Lawrence return to the landing site and execute a low level scan of the nearby area. You should start to be able to pick up something now that the storm is passing.=^=

=^=Ghost of Mr. Gould… do a cargo review. If there isn’t anything missing on the manifest, check the file for edits. There is always a record in the operation drives if someone changes the data. Its a little trick we in science use… don’t tell anyone.=^=

He returned to Captain Whitney with his comforting smile. “You know, I’d like to be all the way in space before we commence transporting off… who knows what might go wrong. You were on the ground in a sand storm for a while… with your permission of course.”

OOC: The GM has described the Sierra taking off from the planet and warping away in the bridge thread. Looks like the other shoe will drop later.

Mirri made it back to the shuttle and powered up the shuttle and prepared to return to space. She looked at the surface of the planet and watched as the Sierra powered up and got ready to take off. She still didn’t like the feeling she got with this, but she had her orders.

Mirri powered up the shuttle and took off and ascended to the upper atmosphere and waited for the Sierra to also take off.

Mirri brought the shuttle into a low orbit and waited to see what was going on =^=Lawerance to Olinski. Is there a problem?=^= she asked noticing that the Sierra was not going anywhere.

After a brief pause, the Sierra sped up to warp speed and disappeared.
