Jason blinked and slowly turned to face Michael and Doolittle with exaggerated nonchalance. “Ah, Doolittle. Counselor. How are we doing on prepping the Olinksi to pick up the survivors? If we can’t repair the Sierra we might need either quarters or beds in sickbay to service…” he glanced around the table. “How many people were aboard the Sierra again?”

OOC: We know there were 76 passengers aboard the Sierra but how about officers and crew?

IC: The USS Sierra, NCC-91237, is a Monolith-class transporter. It had, at the time of the disappearance, 14 officers and crew.

OC: What about the two captains that were crew?

OOC: Retired Captain Simone Sato (formerly CO of USS Springfield, Concord class), and Retired Captain Nicholas Whitebird (formerly CO of USS Concepcion, Victoria class)

Doolittle did not respond. It was a staff meeting was it not. Opinions were needed and supposedly wanted. He did not need to be present for his staff to do the little task to be get prepared. He made a mental note of the interactions of the senior staff to include the aCO.

OOC: Changing my previous post to add Counselor Trevor Michaels to this scene since Ray’s LOA is over. (This is one of those scenes where all of the senior officers are in the conference room discussing the mission. No point describing a character entering the room. Assume everybody was here when the scene started.

“The Olinski has more than enough spare quarters to house the passengers, Commander.” The Counselor replied. “My main concern would be their current well-being and mental state.” Trevor didn’t have an extremely large large staff, and Doolittle was needed as aCMO for the time being.

kolar accessed the service records of the two officers and had the computer do a correlation of missions and other times they were in proximity or working together and any person they and in common. The rest he would read at this leisure.

The two officers, at first glance, were never involved in the same mission. However, on closer inspection, both of them would be involved in missions with same people of places with Cardassia. Details in those individual missions do not reveal very much. The computer could not detect any concrete connection and that would only imply coincidence. However, the sentient mind with different experiences would suspect some connection rather than coincidence.

Jason just hoped that the people they intended to rescue still NEEDED that kind of help and that the mission was still a rescue mission and not a recovery mission. He kept that thought to himself and nodded sagely. “Agreed. All of those passengers will no doubt be very disruptive. Let’ s just hope that Mister Gould and his people can solve that problem for us. In the meantime, if there’s nothing else, it seems that we are as ready as we are going to be,” he added as he prepared to end the meeting.

OOC: Did I cut the meeting off too early?

OOC: Im back. The answer is yes. It did end abruptly but thats ok.

OOC: Yup, that’s what I thought.

Kolar held back for a minute more as he accumulated the data. Names, locations, he put the list together. It could be quick or it could take days, but he would find out what was important. He would start by interaction frequency… that should be the first step. The brain was the most powerful weapon in a sentient being’s arsenal and he would prove it.

“Does anybody have anything thing to add before be enter the Beloti system?” Jason asked as he looked around the table. “Any preparation we’ve overlooked?”

Jason Harn, aCO still getting a handle on this “pacing” thing, but preparing to adjourn the meeting.

Doolittle resisted the urge to say more. He was aware of his own penchant to over speak at times.

Toro spoke up “Why would they attack a transport ship? Is there something with the retired captains that we’re missing?” She asked making a note to do some background checks on the two officers “Do we know if the Sierra had any run ins with ner do wells that may have made her a target?” Toro asked.
