Out in the hall Ric found the trio of Andorians murmuring amongst themselves. The conversation looked somewhat heated. If he listened close enough he could pick up a few lines. The taller of the two Andorians seemed to be the most talkative, “So you’d turn your back on our people, your Keth?”

Ch’zaolrirh’s antannae straightened, “Zaolrirh has given Andoria everything, including my father’s life. What I do here is as important to our people as what you do at home.” The Andorian scoffed, “this ship isn’t designated for our people…”

As the conversation churned, the smaller silent Andorian caught sight of the Starfleet Commander that had followed. He made it a point to stare.

Ric approached the small group of Andorians, returning the stare with the slightest hint of being intimidated.

As the CAG approached, the taller of the two glanced over, “It looks like your federation masters have come calling.” Ch’zaolrirh clenched his left fist as he widened his stance. Before he could make a move, Ric managed to interject.

“Hey Chaz,” Ric called out, referring to the nickname he had given the COS, “everything good here, buddy?”

The CAG ‘s eyes moved from one of the unknowns to the other. “THis conversation was beginning to look a little intense.”

Ricochet (CAG)

Ch’zaolrirh unclenched his fist. Hopefully the two had misheard the CAG’s nickname, “Of course commander. I was just catching up with some old ‘friends.’” The taller of the two put on a smile, “I am Kathor. Apologies if our conversation concerned you, but we Andorians are social animals.”

Ric’s visage changed from one of seriousness to a fake smile. “Imagine that, so are us humans. You won’t mind if I join you, then.”

Ric tilted his head in the the Andorians direction. “I’m Cmdr. O’Shea, Co of the Olinski’s fighter squadron.”

Ricochet (CAG)

Kathor nodded back, “A pleasure commander.” There was a unique lack of sincerity in his voice. Clearly not interested in an actual conversation, he turned back to Ch’zaolrirh once more, “Srothell, for the sake of your own keth and mine, think about it.” With that he put a hand on the shorter Andorian’s shoulder. The gesture caused the nameless Andorian to noticably blink for the first time. “Well we must be going. We are sorry to have interrupted your… celebration. We just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to see an old friend.”

As the two began to walk off, Ch’zaolrirh turned to Ric. The commander wasn’t stupid, he could drop the act. “Please don’t judge them just yet. They meant well.”
