Long range sensors now were able to pick up the Antioch system. As was reported, there was no communication signatures emerging from the system. Whilst there was no vessels discernible at the present distance, there was no Starfleet ship signature detected. Patience dictated that another 10 minutes needed to pass before more information could be discernible.

10 minutes passed and as the ship was nearer, the sensors were able to discern a ship next to the second planet, where the colony was. However, power on the ship was offline. The planet showed indiscernible life signs but it seemed that there was no energy generated from the planet except that which was naturally found on the planet.

OOC: Ok lets assume that Kolar and his team with engineering were able to retrofit the sensor system and that the runabouts were ready with the fighters since the sim is moving on from the traveling to and arriving stage.

“Lt Cmd.” Sid called out to Kolar. “Are we ready with the mods to the coms. I do not want to proceed inside the system until we know we can communicate with each other at the minimum.

“Aye sir, I’m predicting over a 90% transmission of signal. It will sound like you were talking to your next door neighbor.” Albeit a distant neighbor… but neighbor none the less.

“Mirri I want you on the runabout as the tail end of the fighter chain. Just inside the system. Your our last link in the com chain.” He said to Mirri indicating it was time to give up her Helms chair for the runabouts chair.

“Toro I want you to be on your toes and I need that info on the Antioch system I asked you for.” He siad over his shoulder.

The XO glanced up as he took his hand off the miniature LCRS console on his armrest. “There was one time where a subspace gravity bubble caused a power drain,” he explained.

Ch’zaolrirh returned to the bridge after a brief leave to get the security teams organized and positioned. The Andorian now had a larger Type 2 Phaser holstered to his left hip. It wasn’t his preferred weapon, but it was standard issue. He called out to the Captain and XO upon his return, “Armed security teams have been dispatched to each of the Olinski’s transporter rooms - they are ready to respond as necessary.”

The COS quickly returned to his station to ensure the ship’s weaponry and shields continued to operate normally.

The Captain nodded his head in response. He liked that Chi (as he now called him in his head to avoid the long name he could not pronounce well) was a self initiator.
