The Captain sat in his office. It was one of those happy duties he was able to perform from time to time.

Parker CO

From his office, Ric set aside the duty roster he had been working on and replied to the CO. =^=On my way, skipper.=^=

Xandra looked up from her seat across from his desk and watched him go and smiled. “Called to the Principal’s office… oooooo… I’ll finish the roster… go get ‘em tiger.” She laughed as he left and picked up the roster to finish.

A few moments later, the chime to Sidney’s office rang as Ric waited patiently to enter. . . .

Ricochet (CAG)

The door swished open.

“Come in Ric and have a seat.” Sid said.

Taking a seat on the opposite side of the desk. Ric asked, “What’s up, skipper?”

“Ric as you know your a young CAG. However we just put a mission behind us where your team pulled iits weight and then some. It gives me no pause to say that you performed like the Old Man out there and did well. It is the norm for CAGs to be full commanders. However I was unable to give you that for your recent promotion and that you had no missions under your belt as a CAG. Well now you have.” He said and then pushed a small box over to Ric’s side of the table.

The CAG reached for the small box and slowly removed the cover to reveal the pips of a full commander. “I. . . uh. . . I. . . “

“Congrats Commander. Lead the team well.” He added after Ric had opened the box with his new rank pips.

Parker CO

Ric’s tone turned from casually chatting with Sidney, to a formal conversation with the ship’s captain. He stood at attention and saluted. “Thank you, Captain. You have no idea how much this means, sir.”

COMMANDER O’Shea (CAG)

“Lots of work to do Commander. Get to it.” The skipper said in a serious joking manner.
