The battle was over but apparently no one had tell plasma conduit #212. It had an undetectable micro fracture that when several engineers were completing a backflush operation on the lines it exploded. Three crew had severe plasma burns and 5 lesser injuries. The call went out to the Sick Bay that there were inbound casualties from a plasma explosion.

Engineering would need to send fire teams because plasma did not usually want to burn itself out. It was a sticky and persistent adversary.

Someone other than the CO in Command needed to respond as an Incident Commander as Deck 16 between the Mess Hall and Computer Core 2 had a real problem.
