Holodeck Adventures---Make your suggestions---Share your input

We’ve had a terrible time with posting lately. If the main sim is going too slow for you to post for your character without getting an annoying “AWOL or LOA?” email perhaps a side sim with your characters in the holodeck. This is an excellent opportunity to show off some aspects of your character that might not be revealed on a regular mission. There’s no need to restrict your character to holonovels, simulations of your character’s home worlds, favorite locations, or historical eras would reveal interesting tidbits about both your character and our shared STF universe. I’m willing to reopen the Dixon Hill simulation if anyone is interested, but there is no reason to confine ourselves to Captain Picard’s hobbies. And the best part of the holodeck is that you can have your character enter the scene and leave it at will. There’s no need for your character to continue a holodeck scene if you don’t want them to, simply have your character be paged by a subordinate, leave for dinner, or remember that they have an early shift the next day.
(Actually, the best part is when your character is page by a SUPERIOR and shows up to an emergency while still in costume. https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-nqK1Z3Ji5Mc/Vi2JdAejKVI/AAAAAAAAVsI/XdN18W_kokk/s1600/15%2B-%2B1.png)
Feel free to brainstorm on this thread any ideas you have for the holodeck. It doesn’t matter if we get around to using them, just share your ideas; there’s no obligation to follow through. Here’s some ideas I’ve used in the past:
A 1940’s Dixon Hill mystery.
A 22nd century beach resort on the planet Draylax, a world that humanity had to abandon in 2161 when mankind discovered a species of intelligent whales.
An early 22nd century theme park back when people didn’t have holosuites.
Yosemite Valley in North America where you can mountain climb without the risk of death.
Feel free to list your own suggestions!
Seconding Jason - it has been a little tough keeping the momentum going in the main sim. I’ve also found that side sims outside the holodeck go fairly well. I set up my character having coffee once and it turned into a good thread. Similarly, the CAG recently did a fighter drill that kept a lot of people engaged. If anyone wants to stumble upon the COS, I am sure he can have an awkward and alien conversation with you.
