“Thank you, Doctor,” he answered, glancing at the results. “My diet of late has not been sufficiently diversified. I shall ensure that my next few meals rectify that situation.” He gave a small raise of his eyebrow. “If I might inquire, your people… what does your diet normally consist of?”

Pongo, grinned and shrygged, “We are an omnivivorous people, I prefer more fruits and vegetables, most of the Zan prefer a higher protien diet. But we are built to eat what ever it takes to survive, including the paste that keeps the carpets in place according to studies, kinda weird if you ask me.”

“Eating carpet paste would not be log… very appetizing,” Tauren answered. He paused a moment, then gave a small head-bow. “I shall make my way to my quarters and get settled in then. I’m sure the replicators can suggest a few suitable dishes to meet these dietary requirements.”

Pongo nodded, and grinned yet again as they walked towards the exit of Sickbay. The doctor looked to be one that would fit in just fine. That gave him a bit more staff to work with, not that having extra doctors ever hurt anything but the budget. He needed a few more nurses as well he thought.

“Well Tauren, I think you are good to go, two evals down, just the CNS to go, unless you want to meet and greet the Captain as well. Good fellow, Husband of the Counselor actually. Get a good rest and a good meal, you’re on Alpha shift day after tomorrow, unless you are the first mentally unfit Vulcan I have ever encountered, then Delta Shift, on the fifth Tuesday of Neverary is your first duty shift.”
