“Perfect,” Kate said. “They can’t be in better hands.” She instantly looked back at the captain. She meant what she said but also felt funny saying it. The comment had a flirty feel to her lips but maybe that was because it was her saying it to him. This working together was new and Kate wasn’t sure how she felt about it yet. Any other place but an away mission was fine but would she be able to give an independent assessment of a situation that involved him. Pushing the thought to the back of her mind she nodded at Shaun maybe too formally and said smartly. “See to it.”

Huato nodded. He turned to the medical team and said, “We have managed to move the injured to our infirmary. Please come this way.” He directed their attention to one of the exits and promptly led the way.

Kate turned to her team. “Okay so right now we are just here to help out so Malloy help the team with patching the hole in any way you can. Wolf head to the bridge and see what you can do to help out there. I will go with medical and see what I can do there,” Kate gave out her orders so that each of the three areas needing to be handled had one of her team there too. The situation was still unknown and the last thing Kate wanted was for people on her team to not protected if the situation arose .

It took about three hours but the repairs were finally done.

James went to the bridge there was an a lot of people up there. He went around to each station to get a feel for what was going on. There main problem was power loss. Ensign James had an idea to save power. To close and lock the bulkheads and areas that were affected only keep shields in the areas that the crews we’re working on the patch. When the Bulkheads were set in place more power was available for the Emergency force fields.

OOC: Just to indicate that there are engineering officers present. It would be better for them to do repairs than for a security officer taking the initiative. :)

OOC: I know that just sharing my ideas

Ensign James tapped his comm =^= ensign wolf to cos I have a plan to help save power and a backup plan if It doesn’t work (evacuate area that need fixing. Close the bulkheads to areas keep one area open with Emergency force fields. This way only work on one place at a time to save power) when repair are being done we can have small generators to help replace the power already lost and help stabilize the ship intill repairs are done =^=

Upon reaching the hull breach, the engineers got straight to work repairing it. Malloy, however, crouched, scanning its charred edges.

“This hull isn’t going to fix itself, you know. “

Malloy looked to the engineer on his left. “I’m aware,” he responded. “However, sir, with all due respect, my first responsibility as both a security officer and a weapons specialist is to assess the type of weapons that breached the Frieda’s hull. That way we know how to…” Malloy’s voice trailed off as his face darkened.

“What’s wrong?”

“Holy Hades.” His voice was barely audible. Malloy looked over at the engineer and stood up. “This ship should be dead.”

=^= Malloy to O’Neill. Sir, unless I have a faulty tricorder, the Freida should be dead. According to these scans, the weapons of Romulans that attacked her were augmented with Borg technology. Either this is a trap, or it’s a message. Either way, in my professional opinion, we need to get the Freida out of here and commence with repairs. =^=

OOC: I know, which is why I wrote in multiple areas where it could be taken a different direction (ie faulty tricorder). This would make my character look like a fool, but you’ve already done that, and I could explain it with his councilor visit. That being said, we know in the time period the Odin resides in does have Romulan Ships outfitted with Tal Shiar modified Borg weaponry (ie the Narada). Now, this isn’t the place for this conversation, If you have a problem with what I write, find me on discord, and tell me in person.

OOC: I am okay with the faulty tricorder idea. Please do take note that I have already posted above that the repairs were finished. The Odin is a slower ship and so the posts are made less frequently. Please be patient. We have engineering players are also on the away team. We will try to get the sim moving again.

OOC: As a side note, while the Narada had Borg tech the GM will provide the details. It’s safe to assume you know little until said otherwise.

IC: Ean had finished the repairs, or as many as he could with the limited supplies as he came back to the ships Captain.

“I have a few others working on some minor areas, but wanted to know what else you might need?”

Zol, Engineering

Huato said, “My thanks.” He turned to his Chief Engineer who had just arrived from another part of the ship, “So Oliver?”

“We will be able to safely make it to the nearest Starbase, Captain,” replied Oliver. “Thank you Starfleet for your help.”

Huato turned to Zol and said, “A call from your ship to Starbase 17 would help confirm the report that I have sent there.”

In the meantime, the medics have all finished tending to the wounded, and reported so.

Kate walked up to the captains and Zol standing in the bridge. “Everyone is treated and Shaun is just finishing up in sick bay. I heard the hull has bee repaired. Good work,” she said to the engineer. Did you make the call to Calin yet,” she asked the engineer.

Ensign Wolf was checking every one into the shuttle as they bordered. Looking over the list to see if they forgot anyone or gear. =^= wolf to Kate everyone is accounted for and we have all of our gear ready shuttle three will be the last shuttle leaving I’ll be on it waiting for you =^=

The away team was able to return to the Odin without incident.

Ka’Lissi entered the bridge and was wiping her hands on a rag. The repairs had been made, the entries made, and the tests all passed. The ship was back to rights once more and she was listening to the exchanges on the comm that made her think the missions had been successful as well. She scooted into the engineering seat and smiled at Zol with a nod. “Good job, here. You can take your next assigned shift off.” She had to remember to give him a commendation in his record when things settled. He had certainly pulled more than his load this time and deserved recognition for it.
