“I’m scared of heights,” Kate shrugged and then got a smile. “I also love being chased. Okay lame and silly but nothing gets your heart pumping like a relay race or a game of freeze tag. Little more stressful during a real-life event but stress also makes you think less clearly. This is the best way I can simulate a real-world event because sometimes you are in an Alamo. =/\=Computer set program ‘Indy Jones chased by Natives to seaplane’ =/\= Kate requested. Instantly instead of pirates, was a score of tribal natives with blow guns. Kate and Pongo’s clothes were transformed into a white shirt, tan pants, and fedora tailored to fit thier bodies. They also each for a battered brown fedora. “Ready,” Kate said feeling her heart beat a bit faster.

Lt. (j.g.) Kate O’Neill CoS

Pongo cheered and settled the fedora on his head. Furry arms waving above his head, “YOU HAVE BUMBAHBAHS” with the enthusiasm of a five year old child finding out you knew of his favorite toy, and played with them too!

“Bumbahbah’s,” Kate said slowly cocking on eyebrow. Okay what did the guest lecturing pretty boy Bordeaux say in the diplomacy for idiots seminar I had to take, Kate thought to herself. Even now she could not remember anything about that class except staring at how white Bordeaux’s teeth were and how he perched half on the corner of the table and half off as he lectured them about what to do and what not to do when meeting alien species. She seemed to recall something about jumping to conclusions and her mind was so jumping. Bumbahbah’s, bumbahbah’s, bumbahbah’s, she said over and over in her mind. Not knowing exactly what Pondo was referring to Kate relied on what always worked: manners. “Yes, I do,” she said albeit a bit slower but nodding encouragingly.

Pongo checked over the stuff as he got ready for whatever was about to happen, and looked saddened for a moment, “no Whip?” Then Pongo wiggled his bare feet.

“Well the movie was rated PG 13,” she said before realizing exactly what he meant. “Oh bullwhip. =/\=Computer two bullwhips that attach to the belt,=/- she ordered and instantly they appeared.

“Hovedios, I don’t speak Hovedios, do you?” Pongo asked with a giggle, all the while humming a very familiar tune that sounded like Bum Bum bumpah, bump bah bah. “Are we racing each other, or helping each other?”

Lt Cmdr Pongo Bubbles, MD, CMO

“Oh…oh yes. I mean no. No, I don’t speak it,” Kate turned bright red instantly figuring out what bum bum bumpah was in the moment he sang the words instead of saying it. Thank you, Bordeaux. You so could have just cost me a trip to HR, she smiled and looked down letting her cheeks return to their original color. “And hell yes we are working together,” she laughed looking at him. “Start the plane, Jock. Jock start the plane,” she yelled out before starting a mad dash to the forest.

Instantly one hundred natives were now hot on their heels as they raced for the river and the waiting seaplane.

Lt. (j.g.) Kate O’Neill CoS

“Ohhhhh!” Pongo snagged the whip and lurched forward towards the waiting trees. Comical, that word covered a broad spectrum of things. One of which was the short legged side to side wobbling, behind wiggling run of the CMO. His feet slapped the ground as he went as fast as his short little legs could carry him. His arms were above his head. Not in fear but to keep them from smacking into things. Mostly under his breath as he ran, he giggled as they dodged darts and arrows, “No lady, you call him Doctor Bubbles!”

Lt Commander Pongo Bubbles, MD, CMO

Kate broke out laughing and then stumbled over a have unearthed tree root. This program was not going the way she had planned but it was more fun than she ever expected. It was in no way, shape, or form polite to laugh at the way Pongo ran but in no way, shape or form could one not be mesmerized by his gait and how fast his cadence could cover the terrain. For a wobbly guy, he was one fast sucker. “Cheese and rice,” Kate blurted out falling on her hands and knees. Instantly she was back up but the small bobble had given the natives the edge they needed. It also put Kate in the path of the blow darts. “Mother duckers,” Kate said feeling one of the poison-tipped arrows wiz by her head. I hope they are not made of jello, Kate grumbled and took off in the direction she had last seen Pongo run. “Pongo, Pongooooooo,” Kate called out. Yes she was the one being chased but this was also supposed to be a test of team work and right now the dynamic duo she started with had droped to the team of Numero Uno.
