The attempt to isolate nanites from the tetrahedral ship was successful as was the attempt to transport them. The nanites were transported into a containment field that was keeping them in stasis.

The CSO came back to the Odin and immediately running diagnostics on the nanites and then cross-referencing all data with known Borg technology. The diagnostics showed that the nanites were different from the nanites of the Borg. The nanites were designed to maintain the ship but they were not able to handle organic tissue. Thus they were not able to change any sentient being into a drone.

Ch’ethyniq scanned the nanites to see if they were trying to communicate to the alien vessel since they had been removed. He also began a metallurgical and electrical analysis to try and find out their power source and to see if they could be classified into separate groups by function or components.
