A week after boarding the ship. He was finally getting to work 30 min before shift he was already out the door with two bottles one was frush hot coco and the other was some home made Green tea he mad for the CMO. After giving the tea to one of the med staff he went to the Security office to get his gear he got his duty phaser from his locker and checked to see if it was charged. He then went over to the phaser rifles and mad sure they were fully charged just incase they were needed he took a set at the Security breffing tabel and pulled a pad to see rhe last 5 week security reports just so he knows what all to look for. 20 min later the grave yard shit ended and his shift was about to start.

Kate walked into the security office and cast a glance at the eager beaver sitting at the table reading the PaDD. She then checked her watch. The officer was obviously here for his shift but the way he was sitting and reading indicated he had been there for a while. Mainly because Wolfe seemed to have found a comfy spot in the chair instead of the more rigid posture of someone who just sat down. “Early bird catches the worm,” she asked with a smile coming up to him carrying a mug of coffee. While her phrase could be considered just a saying the slight inflection to it also could have indicated it was a question.

James lookes up from the pad and smiled “well good morning and just so you know i already checked the phaser Rifles number 590 and 586 need new power cells and 567 is not good the lower Barrel is cracked and needs to be replace.” He pulled a pad that had the weapons report and an other pad to order them to be fixed it was all written up she just needed to sign it.

Kate took the PaDD and then a long draw on the coffee as she read it. When she was done, she handed it back to Wolf. “And you are telling me this but did not fix it why,” she said looking at him.

James looked up from his padd ” this is my first day at work i don’t know were the parts are” he said. It was true he didn’t know were rhe spare parts were and some of the repairs needed to be done by armory officer.

“Think of it as a scavenger hunt,” Kate waved her travel mug of coffee around. “Let’s make it more fun and add a few more people. Ensign Polis,” Kate yelled out for the second newest recruit to come over. They were always eager beavers when they got here. He had to be lurking somewhere.
