OCC: Tyra and Steven… I hope it is okay but I wanted to post because who doesn’t love a baby. I saw the mention of Kate bringing the girls in to meet their brother you can signal for me to continue and bring them in, in the other post. I know you are both going to want some new mom and dad time so I am posting that is way later so you can post before this. Now in the immortal words of Spongebob’s narrator.....~ Kate

Two hours later.......

Kate watched the room at which Morgana and Rivar were in as if she were on surveillance. Her eyes never left the one bay where the forcefield had been erected, with the darkening component so that the world was shut out of their private moments. The problem was this was not some ordinary baby. This was the Captain’s and couselor’s baby. While the Odin was a vast floating city in the middle of space, at times it did have a hometown feel. Back in Waynesburg when someone had a baby, you all came to see the little nipper. Old women gushed over tiny toes, old men joked about life never being the same, Aunt’s questioned if you could afford it behind closed doors of course, and Uncle’s Gaggled and Banged all the things they wanted to do with the new addition since a niece or nephew equaled fun and no responsibility. This was Kate’s life even if she was a million miles from home so she was going to continue with the hometown gesture.

“I think we need more daisy’s,” Nailiah said pulling Kate’s attention briefly from the room where Morgana was delivering the baby to the two young girls using up Shaun’s replicator credits like he had taken them to raise.

“Only if you are planning to decorate a float in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade,” Kate laughed moving over to where the girls were now arranging flowers in a third vase. She smiled seeing the care the girls were taking with the bouquet for their mama. It has started with one vase. Then Maliah had decided she wanted to give Morganna one for herself, so Kate replicated a second full of the flowers Morgana loved. This kept the girls busy for a while…until they filled both vases. It was then Kate decide to hint that maybe their daddy might want to give one to their mommy. Glancing over her shoulder at the still darkened room, Kate shrugged. It was not like Calin was going to get cheap on some credits now. “On second thought, your right. Nia go relicate like a dozen more and get me a coffee. You know how I like it.”

Sitting down in the chair, Kate fluffed the bow on the presents stacked by the door. While it was customary to give the new guy something, Kate’s family had always had the baby present the other siblings with a gift too. Since she was the youngest and last O’Neill, she had never gotten a gift but it was a sweet little tradition and one hopefully Rivar and Morgana would like. So below the two gifts for the newest member to the Captain’s clan was to gifts hidden neatly labeled one as to my big sis and the other to my biggest sis. Kate waited for the signal to bring the girls in.
