James woke up on a shuttle to his new home. He was attending a defense conference and learning the latest stuff in the defense Technologies. Maybe he can recommend some stuff to the new CO. Soon the shuttle dock with the ship and Jame set off to find his new boss but first things first he needs to check in with security for his meeting and to get himself registered with the phaser likely he took the course before he left he just needs to show the certificate. After Walking The Halls in a few minutes he found the security office he pressed the door chime and waited.

“Come in,” Kate’s chipper voice rang out from behind the door. Walking in the newest sec jo would not see someone polished in a Starfleet uniform. Instead he would see a more casual appearance of his new commanding officer. Kate was dressed in fatigue pants and the standard black tank top that was part of the uniform but often hidden under the colorful shirt bearing her department colors. Her hair was pulled into a high pony tail so the ends of it brushed her shoulders as she walked. In her hand was a travel sized cup of coffee as she read a PaDD behind her desk. Her cheeks were a bit flushed as if she had been doing something a bit strenuous before his arrival.

James entered the room and stood at attention “ensign Wolf reporting for duty” he said in his most professional voice he could mustar. He still had his bags with him he was fresh off the shuttle.

“Welcome to the Odin. Looks like I was your first stop,” Kate said spying his bags. “Have a seat and tell me something about yourself that isn’t in this PaDD? Would you like something to drink,” Kate offered.

James took a seat ” Yes cold green tea with honey and gensin” he said as he relaxed. His eyes scaned the room then he said ” i am a good pilot when i was little i had an old NX class shuttle i got to fly it alot and during the academy I took a few courses in fighter pilot” he said as he smiled.

“Perfect we always are looking for good pilots. Anything else,” Kate said giving him the requested drink.

Jame took the drink and said ” i am a marksmen best in my class but that may be due to my cybernetic eyes” he siped his tea ☕.

“Well that depends on how you define the term and parameters of marksmanship. If you say you are the best because you can hit a stationary target in a sanitary environment given artificial attributes that is one parameter. If you say you are the best without any enhancements like bipods, cybernetics or the such and choose to engage your targets in a real world environment with moving targets that is something else,” Kate said looking at him as she sipped her coffee.

James looked at her “i was good in a halo environment and a real world environment. you don’t get real training with a stationary Target. And when i waa born i was blind so i don’t realy say my cybernetic eye’s are enhancements but they do help alot on away missions and security jobs” he said as he finished his tea.

“But they do give you an unnatural advantage. How far can you see because of them?” Kate asked. She was good to about 875 yards. For a sniper that ranked her as one of the best but like all things that did not mean every shot at 875 yards was dead on or perfect. Her accuracy rating was about 96%. The saying aim small miss small was a mantra in her family.

James looked at her “the max i got them was at 900 yards 930 if i was using a scope” he said as he put his cup down on the tabel.

“So besides being good with a weapon what else makes you tick Mr. Wolf,” Kate smiled at him. He would be an remarkable asset to her team.

James smiled ” well I may be Vulcan but I’m also part human. I enjoy meditation I play the Ocarina it’s a flute type instrument. I’m really good at tactical games. And I love animals.” He said as he picked up his glass ” I was wondering if I can have another cup”

“Of course. I give the stuff out like it is ammo. Help yourself,” Kate said with a smile. “So is the Vulcan hertiage from your mother or father’s side,” she asked.

James turned to her ” Farher side my mother was in star fleet. I belive she was COS of the telstory about 40 years ago my father he was a tactical officer at wolf 359” he said as he got himself more tea.
