Mwezi sighed slightly, looking at the now cleaned wound. “If you want me to apologize I can,” he muttered. “But I’ve got the feeling that’s not your style. However, in the future, I won’t neglect my health. Are you satisfied?” Kane’s question made Mwezi let out a small breath. “Go ahead and use the regenerator. How is the Captain?”

  • Mwezi

Kane shrugged and said “Taggart’ll pull through.” and he went and retrieved the dermal regenerator and programmed, then set the adhesive and placed it on Mwezi’s arm. He then looked directly at the big wolf-man and said “I dont care if you dont take care of yourself. I’ll fix whatever I can, but what you do to you is your business, not mine.” He then moved in close so that he was less than a foot from Mwezi’s face. “But I swear to all the gods in heaven, Warren… you ever let your emotions overrule your brain like you did back there again… I will shoot you myself. You could’a gotten you, me, Taggart… everybody… killed running around like that, not paying attention. Not f%$@ing smart. And you’re supposed to be smart.”

Kane, CMO

Mwezi met Kane’s gaze as he spoke, a low growl building in his throat before he could stop it doing so. “I am led more by instinct than humans. More primitive, I suppose. I lost my mind down there and yes, I will try not to do so again, but feel free to shoot me if I do so.” He let his teeth show more than he usually did around aliens, leaning forward slightly and grin/growling at the man. “I’m not a human, Kane. I don’t function the same way you do, psychologically. And I’m not smart. I’m a soldier, not a scientist. Anyways, I was paying attention. Just not paying attention to you. I was hunting. And I killed one of those d@mn Werewolves the captain kept calling me…” He leaned back, losing the snarl but keeping the lack of respect he’d gotten in his attitude.

Mwezi

OOC: Galdor is getting some renovations on culture and stuff. One of the changes is I’m getting rid of the stupid Galdori-dont-use-contractions rule.

Kane didnt move. He kept his eyes on Mwezi. “Soldiers care about the unit, not just the leader. Remember that the next time you decide to put all of us at risk because you can’t keep it together.” and he leaned back and started to walk away, but then turned back and said “And no, you aren’t human. And no, you dont function psychologically the same way we do… but we suck as a species. Maybe you should take a step back and show us how a society built from completely disparate sub species can work together, huh? That starts by being part of the team… not just Taggart’s body guard.” and he spread his hands out to his side and shrugged. “There’s more to this place than one person, Warren. And down there? Everyone needed you… and you dropped us for one guy. If he was awake, even Taggart would tell you you screwed up. You best remember that.” and he turned and walked off and into his office.

Kane, CMO

Mwezi let out a low growl, but said nothing else as Kane retreated. Did Kane understand the blooding? Apparently not. Mwezi wasn’t sure he understood what had happened to him. Just… That he hadn’t been entirely aware of it. It made him angry, the idea that he had so little memory of the fight. The fact that his instinct to kill and to protect the ‘alpha’ of the ship had overrode his training in tactics and put others in danger.

In other news, his arm was itchy.

It was annoying.

  • Mwezi

A human female came up to him and checked the device on his arm. As she did, she glanced at his hand. “Is the bite all that’s troubling you? That finger looks a little wonky. I can take a look, if you like.” Her voice was calm and steady, and her demeanor much friendlier than Kane’s.

NE Bell

Mwezi looked at his finger and his eyes widened slightly. “My opponent twisted my finger… may have broken it? You might want to look at that, yes.” He grimaced slightly. He’d been so focused on the upper arm injury he hadn’t even noticed his finger. It was his little finger.

  • Mwezi

Bell ran a tricorder over it and said “No, nothing broken. Just dislocated. Take a deep breath. On three I’ll adjust it. Ready? One.” and she pulled and twisted and the digit popped back into place with an audible snap.

Nurse Bell

Mwezi winced slightly, his ear twitching. “Thank you, Nurse,” he said in a quiet voice, nodding his head slightly, then leaning back in the biobed. “How long will I be here before I can go back to my quarters?”

Mwezi, CTO

She looked at the device and said “I would imagine no more than an hour or so. Mr. Kane will have to see you before you go, but he should have eased off a bit by then. Fast to anger, but he actually forgives almost as fast.” and she leaned in and whispered “Dont tell him I said that.” and she chuckled.

Nurse Bell

Mwezi nodded quietly, then closed his eyes and happily took a nap.

  • Mwezi

A while later, a finger jabbed into Mwezi’s ribs. “Wake up, Warren. You’re healed.” Kane said, and then waved his fingers and said sarcastically “It’s a miracle.“

Kane, CMO

Mwezi huffed quietly to himself and, once the device was off his arm, got up and left without a word. He didn’t feel like chatting with Kane right now.

Mwezi, WO

La e watched him leave and sighed thankfully. He was not in the mood, either. Making his way to Taggart, he looked at the scans. As he did, he noting the tell tale signs of him waking, so he said “Feelin’ all right, Taggart?”
