Chris woke up and tried sitting up which was an instant thing he regretted. Grabbing his stomached doubling over once more and crying out in pain. “OOOWWWWWW! What the Crap?”

A figure of a pure looking nobleman seemed to materialize in front of Chris. “I would suggest that you stay down....Chris....is it? You have lost a lot of blood and are paler looking then even I. You have two choices Chris.” He smiled again and licked his finger tips one by one. “You can either die which is about to happen very, very soon even without my intervention. Or you can die and be reborn? The choice might be yours, but I will let you decide.”

“Who are.....you?” Chris barely managed to get out before closing his eyes and his breathing became shallower. Sweat and tears were pouring down his face.

“I think you better make your choice Lord Taggart”. He said calmly and snarky. “You do not have much time. If I know one thing in this world it is death and it is knocking at your door.”

Chris mustered all of his might to try to sit up and look the nobleman in the eyes and got halfway up before collapsing again. “Ohh…Ahhhh.!” He was in agony and just managed to say before falling unconscious and breathing his last breath. “I.....won’t......give..you the satisfact.........” The comment faded out as did Chris and after a few moments his chest stopped rising.

The Count licked his fingertips again in anticipation as one of his servants brought him a clean white cloth which he took in preparation for his feast. “A pity he didn’t choose for himself. I want a strong army, and one like him will be powerful. But not as powerful as if he had chosen for himself.” He then looked at the servant. “Go prepare his chambers and get ready to welcome my new Commander of the army of undead.” He licked his fangs again and smiled as the servant bowed and left to perform his duties.
