”..You would need to bring a head each of those slain to my guard Captain in the Blood On The Vine Inn is where he would be a this time of night. He would see fit your compensation..” The guard said opening the gate. “..Be warned if you don’t do as you say punishment will find you..” He stated omeniously.

GM CockRoach

Crelle nearly laughed. A cold and callous response and a pittance for doing this ingrates dirty work.

“Don’t threaten us peasant for doing your job!”

“Come on. Let us kill some Zombies,” Mwezi muttered, stalking ahead of the group through the gate and taking a deep breath of the air within the town, letting his senses guide him to any scent of undeath. He didn’t like the sound of undead spreading their undeath. He lightly fingered his concealed phaser, thinking that if he could get them somewhere he wouldn’t be seen by the locals, some good old fashioned phaser fire would do the trick to kill them.

Crelle saw the Lieutenant walk away and immediately followed. She knew solo officers in a situation where close combat could spell death was never a good idea, even if they weren’t already in a mood.

He took another deep sniff of the air, tracking any strong smell of death and running with fast strides ahead of the rest of the group, deep into the town.

Mwezi, CTO

No way was Crelle keeping up with him at that gait. She was a caitian, but her features were mostly humanoid outside her face. This was going to be a long day. Tracking the Lieutenant, Crelle drew her cutlass and began the trek to the village after her hotheaded friend of a Lieutenant.

Bridie smiled at the CSO, “Guess we are hunters now.” She, too, felt the comfort of her phaser on the thigh strap under her skirt, but she also knew she would be able to just brandish it. Instead, she pulled the short sword from the sheath on her hip and laughed. “It’s no bat’leth but I think I can manage to keep the ‘pointy end away from me’,” she laughed and followed the group in, though found herself bringing up the read with a couple others. It wasn’t out of fear of the front dangers. It was a fear of what would creep up behind them.

She felt bad for Mwezi. He was taking the worst of it here. It seemed there were others similar to his kind here in this place. But they were apparently as far beneath his development as the humans were beneath the Captain and crew. It wasn’t their fault, they just weren’t as advanced. And just like the crew had to play dumb, the poor CTO had to play the ‘pet beast’ to the Captain.

She wished, now, that she had gotten to know him better before this. And promised herself to get to know him better afterwards. She was still torn between her feelings for the Captain and her confusion about the Doc. But either way, Mwezi was close to the Captain. He deserved to know her as a friend and not a foe at worst, and bothersome pest to the Captain at best.

She kept her sword low and moved with the group into the town and sighed as the gate moved further away from them.

Chris did not like how Mwezi left the group like that. “Blaze! Follow Mwezi! No one goes alone. We will pair up and meet at the Blood of the vine Inn in two hours. Remember to bring their heads! Bridie! You are with me!” He then drew his medieval long sword and went in the opposite direction of Mwezi in a well balanced stride.

Lord Taggart CO Fellowship of the Warp

Taggarts reactions and orders didn’t surprise her any. But his insistence of her at his side, did. “I… yes, Sir,” she recovered before most would have noticed. She kept her blade down and jogged after him.

She was silent for a few moments before speaking. “You should have a security officer with you, Chris… not me…” Her voice was low so no one nearby would hear her. He was the Captain and needed far more protection than she felt capable of. If something happened while he was with her…

She let the thought drop of swiftly in the darkness and walked just behind to his right, her head constantly glancing backwards.

William resisted the urge to bury his head in his hands. He moved his coat to the side revealing a short blade which he then drew, he allowed himself a brief smile, this was the only weapon he was moderately skilled at, he could barely hit the side of a barn with a phaser and he knew for a fact that he was useless in a fistfight but a sword, well he knew how to use one of these. He did, however, unfasten the phaser from its holster in his bag to make it easier to fetch it if necessary. While his hand was in the bag he discretely grabbed his tricorder, knelt down and started a scan cycle for any organic signatures in the area, he didn’t much believe in these so-called ‘Zombies’ but just in case he decided that a broader search was in order.

CSO, 2O

OOC: So just before I reply can someone break down who’s going with who? so I can split off the posts as neccassary?

GM CockRoach

OOC: Blaze with Mwezi and Crelle
The Captain with Brigette (CE)
Kane with William
The XO is on LOA
T’Kul and Kristie does not really post in the main SIM

Travis

OOC: Ok noted can we get the last two to join the main sim or are they just not joining in?

GM CockRoach

OOC: I am a part of the main sim as T’kul, we are still on the planet after the ceremony and awards stuff, which I have been responding to. My last post I was stationed outside the tents guarding them…
Rusty

Sorry I am lost here I had been offline for a few days I am back

Dr. Alexander Blaze (Engineer)

Ooc: The ceremony with awards is a different planet at a diff time.

  • Miriam

OOC:
Crelle ran off after Mwezi, at least that’s the last thing I posted. Mwezi seemed to take off full sprint and given the canine speed I figured he’d be ahead but I set Crelle up to basically track/hunt him down and be his backup

  • Kat

OOC: ok thank you. I fixed it then.
Travis

Mwezi was down an open road with lit lanterns on posts about 6 feet high for lighting the rock/pebble street when he spotted an undead creature. The undead creature spotted him as well and ran very fast towards him with his mouth open. In the lantern

Mwezi would notice that despite the fact that he was clearly stronger than this zombie, that is was in fact strong for what it was.

Blaze and Crelle finally caught up with Mwezi just in time to see him strike at an undead looking creature. The creature was decaying with chunks of flesh rotting and missing from its face and exposed body parts. That did not stop the thing from trying to bite Mwezi. Just as they they approached two more zombies came running out of the darkness into the lanterns light of the street.

Lieutenant Kane and Commander Grey were they only ones standing about still when two zombies came out of the darkness to attack them. One was running to Kane and the one going after William The Grey had no legs and was crawling on its stomach to get at him. Despite that it had no legs, it was still very fast, and they were making horrible noises with their mouths.

The guard that was still in the tower lowered and locked the floor plank of his tower room so no one could get up the stairs and get to him. He then started firing arrows into the fight and almost hitting Kane and Grey a few times but still missing the zombies.

OOC: Edited Travis’ post
IC:

Will looked at the crawling Zombie with a mixture of intrigue and worry, then the first few arrows flew by. He turned his head around and called “Stop that before you kill one of us” His voice was surprisingly dispassionate despite yelling. He then turned his attention to the creepy crawler, raised his hand, and swung his blade down to the ground, aiming for the skull.

CSO, 2O

Kane growled and looked at the creeping nasties as they moved towards them. “Rotten corpses running around, filled with rancid flesh and vile who knows what, and you idiots want to go and poke holes in it.” he said to no one in particular. He reached under his cloak and lifted the mace off his belt, keeping the phasers hidden. He had opted for the flanged style, not because he knew anything about maces per se, but figured if he had to hit someone with it it would hurt more than a spiked one. He stepped up the side of the CSO and brought the head down on the arm of the crawling one, trying to shatter bone and keep it from having any support to crawl with. He then turned attention to the rest.

Kane, CMO

OOC: Fixing typos.

The Captain and Brigette were off a few blocks from everyone else in the opposite direction when four zombies came out for them. Chris had his long sword already out and swung in a nice arc to decapitate one of the zombies out right and the other ducked under Chris’ second swing to grab him. Chris dropped the sword to focus on hand to hand combat now and he didn’t want to know the effects if one of these things bit anyone.

Brigette’s zombie was quick as well and it still wore the armor of a castle guard. Full breast plate, helmet, cauldrons, grieves, the whole nine yards and all made of steel. It attacked Bridie with it’s sword instead of a bite and it went for a midsection thrust with its one handed arming sword (Arming swords are like long swords. Same design but made to be wielded with one hand instead of two).

Storyteller and Lord Taggart, Fellowship of the Warp

Bridie had her sword out. But when she realized she wasn’t going to have any chance against the armour, all she could do was evade and block. Her body bowed and she fell backwards onto the cobbled streets. She glanced up to see Taggart trying to fend off two more creatures and bit her lip to keep from crying out. The last thing he needed was a distraction. She could manage this one… she hoped.

She rolled out of the way of the swinging sword and came back to her feet. Her own short sword doing its best to block the swings. Her phaser, in the heat of the moment, forgotten in her hip pouch.

Bridie

((These got deleted for some reason))

The one in armor going after Bridie kept swinging and she could tell that there were areas in the armor for her to thrust and strike at. The zombie was relentless to Bridie and was quick. He was not the average zombie from the Captains movies.

Chris managed to knock the one off him and kick it away far enough for him to pick back up his sword and swing at its head. As soon as the blade made contact with the zombies neck and went out the other side a thick fog rolled in and vanished just as soon as it appeared. Standing there in the open was a noble looking gentleman dressed to the nines with very long Snow White hair (Like Lucius father in Harry Potter) and seven other men that were clearly not zombies but didn’t seem alive a]either. He pointed towards the Captain. “That’s him. Bring him back to the Keep and dispose of the rest.” HE said calmly before vanishing in thin air.

The men looked over at them and as Chris’s attention was now diverted to help his girlfriend take out the armored zombie he just barely had enough time to react to a gang of men trying to tackle him. Chris managed to cut an arm off one of them and the head of another but there was too many and the tallest one pulled out a longsword of his own and ran it through the Captain clear to the other side and Bridie could see this from where she was.

Chris fell to his knees and dropped his sword which could be heard clanking on the cobble street and grabbed at the sword stuck in him and blood was coming from his mouth. The tall one then withdrew the sword and Chris cried out and fell over onto the street. The tall one looked around and pointed to the rest. “Take him back to the Keep like the Master said. I will take care of the rest.” He smiled and looked at Bridie. “Ohhhh. Lovely. What is your name child?” And with one motion of his sword decapitated the armored zombie while still looking straight at Bridie.

Mwezi was down an open road with lit lanterns on posts about 6 feet high for lighting the rock/pebble street when he spotted an undead creature. The undead creature spotted him as well and ran very fast towards him with his mouth open. In the lantern light, Mwezi would notice that despite the fact that he was clearly stronger than this zombie, that it was in fact strong for what it was.

Mwezi snarled at the creature and leaped on it, his strong legs lifting him at least a meter into the air before smashing down on top of the creature. His hands wrapped around the zombie’s neck and squeezed, trying to yank the head off the thing. It shouldn’t be too hard a feat, and as long as his hands were around its neck, it couldn’t bite him.

It was not too hard of a feat for the powerful lupine and he wrenched the head off the zombie and its body flailed around for 10 seconds and fell to the ground in a heap. Once he was done with that he would notice two more coming in after his other friends and a new creature in the shadows with only its red eyes to give it away and those red eyes stood another 3 feet taller than Mwezi. All Mwezi could hear was the beast actually talk to him in a calm voice. “Well, well, well. What do we have here? I would love to see you try to do that to me?” As soon as it finished that sentence it leaped towards Mwezi went for his head. Mwezi could now see that it was in fact a real werewolf.
